''Technicolor'' is the second album released by Gospel musical group Parachute Band. Released on October 14, 2008, the album features 11 new tracks drawing on the concept that God’s living water equals life in all its color. ''Technicolor'' debuted at #10 on the U.S. Christian/Gospel charts. The album would later peak at #6 on the NZ album charts after the Parachute Music festival in January 2009. An album is a collection of audio recordings issued on compact disc (CD), vinyl, audio tape, or another medium such as digital distribution. The band made pop/rock music and spanned over two generations of musicians. 1995–2006 The first Parachute Band line-up was formed in 1995 to lead worship at Parachute Festival. Parachute Band began recording New Zealand-written contemporary worship music, performing it both in New Zealand and worldwide. The original line-up, led by Wayne Huirua, Libby Huirua and Chris de Jong, released seven studio albums, toured extensively in the U.S., won numerous New Zealand Music Awards for Best Gospel/Christian Album, and won the Gospel Music Association's International Achievement award (in the U.S.). Parachute Music
Parachute Music is a not-for-profit music organisation from New Zealand. It was formed in 1989 and runs a hub of studio facilities and artist/producer support programmes in Kingsland, Auckland. From 1992 to 2014, the organisation ran the annual Parachute Festival, which grew to become a staple of the Kiwi summer, regularly attracting an audience of 25,000+ to the four-day festival. It also previously provided Artist Management services including: Parachute Records, Parachute Publishing, and artist training. Key (instrument)
A key is a specific part of a musical instrument. The purpose and function of the part in question depend on the instrument. On instruments equipped with tuning machines such as guitars or mandolins, a key is part of a tuning machine. It is a worm gear with a key shaped end used to turn a cog, which, in turn, is attached to a post which winds the string. The key is used to make pitch adjustments to a string.
