Take Me In Your Arms (film)
''Take Me in Your Arms'' (in Spanish ''Llévame en tus brazos'') is a 1954 Mexican drama film directed by Julio Bracho. Starred by Ninón Sevilla and Armando Silvestre. Plot In a little fisher's village in the Papaloapan River lives the fisher Pedro (Andrés Soler) and his two daughters Rita (Ninón Sevilla) and Martha (Rosenda Monteros). Rita loves a young man named José (Armando Silvestre) who has been fired from a sugar mill for organizing a strike. So, he and Rita can't marry soon. After a good fishing, all in the town celebrate a party. But Don Antonio (Julio Villarreal), the owner of the sugar mill, comes to collect Pedro the money that he lent him for a boat. As Pedro can't pay him, Don Antonio asks as pay to one of his daughters. Rita listens and she decides to go with Don Antonio to save her father and her sister. Julio Bracho
Julio Bracho Gavilán (17 July 1909 – 26 April 1978) was a Mexican film director and screenwriter. Bracho was born as ninth of eleven children of Julio Bracho y Zuloaga and his wife Luz Pérez Gavilán. His sister Guadalupe Bracho Pérez-Gavilán became known as Andrea Palma, his brother Jesús became known as theatrical designer and painter, and his brother Toribio, became Jesuit and missionary in China. Two of his cousins were Dolores del Río and Ramón Novarro. The family moved to Mexico City in 1913. He was engaged in modern theater projects in Mexico, he was founding member of the ''Teatro Orientación'', and he founded and organized the ''Escolares del Teatro'' group, Mexico City, in 1931, as well as the ''Trabajadores del Teatro'' group in 1933, and the ''Teatro de la Universidad'' in 1936. ''Sensualidad'' (''Sensuality'') is a 1951 Mexican drama film directed by Alberto Gout, starring Ninón Sevilla and Fernando Soler. Plot The rumba dancer and singer Aurora (Ninón Sevilla), is sentenced to two years in prison for her part in a robbery with her boyfriend, the pimp "El Rizos" (Rodolfo Acosta). Once out of prison, Aurora and "El Rizos" decide to take revenge of the respectable judge Alejandro Luque (Fernando Soler), responsible for sending her to prison. Fate reunites Aurora and the judge, and she decides to seduce him. Without knowing the trap, the judge falls under the spell of the evil woman, forgetting everything important to him: his family and his profession. The judge degenerates to the point of killing and stealing to be near her. His son, Raul Luque (Ruben Rojo), begins investigating the situation, and like his father, falls in love with the perverse woman. Rodolfo Acosta
Rodolfo Pérez Acosta (July 29, 1920 – November 7, 1974) was a Mexican-American character actor who became known for his roles as Mexican outlaws or American Indians in Hollywood western films. He was sometimes credited as Rudolfo Acosta. Early life and education Acosta was born to Jose Acosta and Alexandrina Perez de Acosta on July 29, 1920 in the disputed American territory of Chamizal outside of El Paso, Texas. His father, a carpenter, moved the family to Los Angeles, where Acosta was raised and graduated from Lincoln High School. Acosta studied drama at Los Angeles City College and UCLA and he appeared at the Pasadena Playhouse. At the age of 19, he received a scholarship to the Palacio de Bellas Artes in Mexico City where he studied for three years. In 1943, during World War II, Acosta enlisted in the United States Navy where he worked in Naval Intelligence.
