Tait was an American Christian rock band formed by Michael Tait, one of the members of dc Talk and the lead singer of Newsboys since 2009. History Pre-formation of Tait (1996–1999) In 1996, dc Talk member Michael Tait met Chad Chapin and the two became close friends and began to write songs together. After a few years, Michael created his own cover band, a funky hard rock group named ''Curious George''. He toured with Chapin and had a few concerts, performing music from Pearl Jam to King's X and The 77s. Afterward was when Tait and Chapin decided that they would eventually get a more permanent music group of their own together and tour the world. Michael and Tait member Pete Stewart also had a friendship before the band's inception. After Stewart had assisted dc Talk by playing guitar on their album '' Supernatural'', Tait and Stewart co-wrote the song "Uphill Battle" which was featured on ForeFront Records' ''Ten: The Birthday Album''. Tait (train)
The Tait trains were a wooden bodied Electric Multiple Unit train that operated on the suburban railway network of Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. They were introduced in 1910 by the Victorian Railways as steam locomotive hauled cars, and converted to electric traction from 1919 when the Melbourne electrification project was underway. The trains derived their name from Sir Thomas James Tait, the chairman of commissioners of the Victorian Railways from 1903 to 1910. The first cars were built during 1909 with the last entering service in 1952. Tait trains were initially referred to as "Sliding Door" trains, as opposed to the Swing Door trains then in service. From the 1950s, they became known as Reds or Red Rattlers, following the introduction of the blue-painted Harris trains. The honey possum or noolbenger (''Tarsipes rostratus''), is a tiny species of marsupial that feeds on the nectar and pollen of a diverse range of flowering plants. Found in southwest Australia, it is an important pollinator for such plants as ''Banksia attenuata'', ''Banksia coccinea'' and ''Adenanthos cuneatus''. Taxonomy The first description of the diprotodont species was published by Paul Gervais and Jules Verreaux on 3 March 1842, referring to a specimen collected by Verreaux. The lectotype nominated for this species, held in the collection at National Museum of Natural History, France, was collected the Swan River Colony. A description of a second species ''Tarsipes spenserae'', published five days later by John Edward Gray and current until the 1970s, was thought to have been published earlier by T. S. Tait Glacier () is a glacier about 4 nautical miles (7 km) long on the southwest coast of James Ross Island, flowing southwest into Carlsson Bay. Probably first seen by Dr. Otto Nordenskjold in 1903. Surveyed by Falkland Islands Dependencies Survey (FIDS) in 1945. Named by United Kingdom Antarctic Place-Names Committee (UK-APC) for Murdo F. Tait, FIDS meteorological observer at Hope Bay in 1952 and 1953.
