This page describes details of the section of the Tōkaidō Main Line from Atami Station in Atami City, Shizuoka Prefecture to Toyohashi Station in Toyohashi City, Aichi Prefecture, operated by Central Japan Railway Company (JR Central). Overview The Tokaido Main Line in the Shizuoka block, together with the parallel Tokaido Shinkansen, National Route 1, Tomei Expressway, and New Tomei Expressway, serves as an artery that crosses the prefecture from east to west. The Tokaido Main Line used to be served by many superior trains connecting Tokyo with Nagoya, Keihanshin, and other parts of western Japan, but after the Tokaido Shinkansen started service in 1964, long-distance transportation was shifted to the Shinkansen, and the Tokaido Main Line is now mainly used for regional passenger transportation by local trains. is an interchange station, interchange railway station on the Tōkaidō Main Line in the city of Numazu, Shizuoka, Japan, operated by Central Japan Railway Company (JR Central). Izuhakone Railway Sunzu Line
The is a commuter railway line of the Izuhakone Railway, a private railroad in Japan. The line connects Mishima Station in the city of Mishima with Shuzenji Station in the city of Izu, both within Shizuoka Prefecture. Mishima Station
is a railway station in the city of Mishima, Shizuoka, Japan, operated by the Central Japan Railway Company (JR Central). It is also a union station with the Izuhakone Railway. The station was also a freight terminal of the Japan Freight Railway Company (JR Freight), although freight operations are now only on an occasional basis.
