Tyler Green (baseball)
Tyler Scott Green (born February 18, 1970), is an American former professional baseball pitcher, who played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Philadelphia Phillies (–). He is the son of former Oakland Raiders quarterback Charlie Green. Amateur career A native of Springfield, Ohio, Green graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School (Denver, Colorado) in 1988, and was named Gatorade National Player of the Year along with Dr. Pepper Colorado Athlete of the Year. The Cincinnati Reds drafted Green as their 2nd pick out of high school, but he opted to attend Division I (D-I) baseball powerhouse Wichita State (WSU) with legendary coaches Gene Stephenson and Brent Kemnitz. As a freshman starter, Green helped the Shockers (68–16) to an NCAA D-I Championship. Tyler Green is an author, historian and critic. He produces and hosts The Modern Art Notes Podcast, a weekly digital audio program that features interviews with artists and art historians. Art critic Sebastian Smee called The MAN Podcast "one of the great archives of the art of our time." The BBC's Sophia Smith Galer named the program one of the world's top 25 culture podcasts. Green's book about 19th-century artist Carleton Watkins, ''Carleton Watkins: Making the West American'', was published by University of California Press in October, 2018. Watkins (1829–1916) is considered by some the greatest American photographer of the nineteenth century and arguably the most influential artist of his era. He is best known for his pictures of Yosemite Valley and the nearby Mariposa Grove of giant sequoias—pictures that motivated and informed the national park idea. '' Doctors'' is a British medical soap opera which began broadcasting on BBC One on 26 March 2000. Set in the fictional West Midlands town of Letherbridge, the soap follows the lives of the staff and patients of the Mill Health Centre, a fictional NHS doctor's surgery, as well as its sister surgery located at a nearby university campus. The following is a list of characters that first appeared in ''Doctors'' in 2016, by order of first appearance. All characters are introduced by the programme's executive producer, Mike Hobson.
