Tom Hall (born September 2, 1964) is an American video game designer best known for his work with id Software on titles such as '' Doom'', '' Wolfenstein 3D'' and ''Commander Keen''. He has also been the co-founder of Ion Storm, together with his friend and colleague John Romero. During his years in the company, Hall designed and produced '' Anachronox'' and was also actively involved in the development of '' Deus Ex''. Career Hall attended the University of Wisconsin–Madison, where he earned a B.S. in Computer Science. In 1987, Hall worked at Softdisk Inc., where he was both a programmer and the editor of ''Softdisk'', a software bundle delivered monthly. Along with some of his co-workers, John Carmack, John Romero and Adrian Carmack, he founded id Software, having always dreamt about the possibility of making videogames for a living. Tom Hall (American Football)
Thomas Francis Hall (April 3, 1940 – December 14, 2017) was a National Football League (NFL) wide receiver. He played eight seasons for the Detroit Lions (1962–1963), Minnesota Vikings (1964–1966, 1968–1969), and New Orleans Saints (1967). He played college football at the University of Minnesota. In 1980, Hall was inducted into the Delaware Sports Hall of Fame The Delaware Sports Museum and Hall of Fame was founded in 1976. Tom Hall (born 17 September 1990) is a British Olympian archer from Croydon, England in South London. Career He competed as a member of the archery squad of Team GB at the 2020 Summer Olympics, in Tokyo. He first took up archery in 2010 while studying at the University of Warwick in Coventry, England. He holds a PhD in chemistry. Thomas Edward Hall (born November 23, 1947) is an American former professional baseball left-handed pitcher who played in Major League Baseball (MLB) from 1968 to 1977. Listed at tall and , he was nicknamed "the Blade", owing to his slender physique. Early life Hall was born in Thomasville, North Carolina, and attended Ramona High School in Riverside, California. He graduated from Riverside City College in 1966 and was drafted by Bill Rigney in the same year. Career Hall was drafted by the Minnesota Twins in the third round of the 1966 MLB January Draft – Regular Phase. Hall pitched for the Twins, Cincinnati Reds, New York Mets, and Kansas City Royals during his big league career.
