''Thunder in the Hills'' (Czech: ''V horách duní'') is a 1946 Czech war film, war drama film directed by Václav Kubásek and Josef Mach and starring Jaroslav Průcha, Marie Vásová and Miroslav Homola. It was shot at the Barrandov Studios, Barrandov and Radlice Studios in Prague and location shooting, on location around Brno and Svratka (town), Svratka. The film's sets were designed by the art directors Štěpán Kopecký and Alois Mecera. Synopsis During the Second World War, Czech resistance fighters in a village shelter a downed RAF pilot from the Occupation of Czechoslovakia (1938–1945), German occupiers. However they begin to fear that they have an informer in their midst. Libuše Bokrová
, Libussa, Libushe or, historically ''Lubossa'', is a legendary ancestor of the Přemyslid dynasty and the Czech people as a whole. According to legend, she was the youngest but wisest of three sisters, who became queen after their father died; she married a ploughman, Přemysl, with whom she founded the Přemyslid dynasty, and prophesied and founded the city of Prague in the 8th century. Legend Libuše is said to have been the youngest daughter of the equally mythical Czech ruler Krok. The legend goes that she was the wisest of the three sisters, and while her sister Kazi was a healer and Teta was a magician, she had the gift of seeing the future, and was chosen by her father as his successor, to judge over the people. Occupation Of Czechoslovakia (1938–1945)
The military occupation of Czechoslovakia by Nazi Germany began with the German annexation of the Sudetenland in 1938, continued with the creation of the Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia, and by the end of 1944 extended to all parts of Czechoslovakia. Following the ''Anschluss'' of Austria to Nazi Germany in March 1938 and after he had obtained the Munich Agreement in September 1938, Adolf Hitler annexed the ethnic Germans living in Czech regions.
