''Thomas the Tank Engine & Friends'' is a children's television series about the engines and other characters working on the railways of the Island of Sodor, and is based on The Railway Series books written by Wilbert Awdry. This article lists and details episodes from the sixth series of the show, which was first broadcast in 2002. This series was narrated by Michael Angelis for the UK audiences, who also re-dubbed two episodes for US audiences, while Alec Baldwin narrated all of the episodes for the US audiences, in what was also his last series. Six episodes were later re-dubbed for PBS Kids by Michael Brandon. In the United States, this was the second season of the series that was not aired on PBS Kids, instead being released straight-to-video. Most episodes in this series have one title; the American titles are shown underneath the United Kingdom titles. Britt Allcroft
Britt Allcroft (born Hilary Mary Allcroft Coote; 14 December 1943 - 25 December 2024) was an English screenwriter, producer, director, and voice actress. She adapted Wilbert Awdry's ''The Railway Series'' in the form of the children's television series ''Thomas the Tank Engine & Friends'' (later re-titled ''Thomas & Friends''). She created ''Shining Time Station'' (with Rick Siggelkow), ''Mr. Conductor's Thomas Tales'', and ''Magic Adventures of Mumfie''. She also wrote, co-produced, and directed the film ''Thomas and the Magic Railroad'' (2000). Early life Allcroft was born Hilary Mary Allcroft Coote in Worthing, West Sussex, on 14 December 1943. Brian Trueman
Brian Richard Trueman (16 May 1932 – 1 September 2024) was an English broadcaster, writer and voice actor. He was known mainly for his work with the animation studio Cosgrove Hall. He wrote and/or narrated children's cartoon series, mostly during the 1970s and 1980s. Early life Trueman was born in Barton, Lancashire on 16 May 1932. He attended Stretford Grammar School and one year at the University of Manchester. During national service he served as a second lieutenant in the Royal Army Service Corps. Angus Mackenzie Nicholson Wright (11 April 1934 – 15 June 2012) was a British television producer; he was co-founder and managing director of The Britt Allcroft Company PLC until his retirement in 1997. Early life Wright was born on 11 April 1934 in Sunderland, County Durham.
