This Moment in Black History is an American punk rock band from Cleveland, Ohio, United states, formed in 2002. History This Moment in Black History formed in 2002 and released its debut EP, "The Cleveland Finger", in 2003. In 2004, they released their first full-length album, "Midwesterncuttalistick", on the Version City label. In 2005, founding bassist Mike D'Amico was replaced by Lawrence Caswell. In the fall of 2005, the band recorded its second album, "It Takes a Nation of Assholes", with Steve Albini. The album was released the following year on the Cold Sweat label. In 2009, the band released another album, entitled "Public Square", on Smog Veil Records Smog Veil Records was a Chicago, IL based independent record label. Version City
Version City is an American reggae record label and recording studio. Since its inception in New York City 1997 by local ska veteran King Django, it has changed its location to its current home in New Brunswick, New Jersey. Steve Albini
Steve Albini (pronounced ; born July 22, 1962) is an American musician, record producer, audio engineer and music journalist. He was a member of Big Black, Rapeman and Flour, and is a member of Shellac. He is the founder, owner and principal engineer of Electrical Audio, a recording studio complex in Chicago. In 2018, Albini estimated that he had worked on several thousand albums over his career. He has worked with acts such as Nirvana, Pixies, the Breeders, PJ Harvey, and former Led Zeppelin members Jimmy Page and Robert Plant. Albini is also known for his outspoken views on the music industry, having stated repeatedly that it financially exploits artists and homogenizes their sound. Primus (band)
Primus is an American rock band formed in El Sobrante, California in 1984. The band is currently composed of bassist/vocalist Les Claypool, guitarist Larry "Ler" LaLonde, and drummer Tim "Herb" Alexander. Primus originally formed in 1984 with Claypool and guitarist Todd Huth, later joined by drummer Jay Lane, though the latter two departed the band at the beginning of 1989, and were replaced by LaLonde and Alexander respectively. The "classic" lineup of Claypool, LaLonde and Alexander debuted with the live album '' Suck on This'', which was self-released in 1989 on Claypool's label Prawn Song and reissued a year later by Caroline Records.
