''This Is How the Wind Shifts'' is the seventh studio album by Canadian post-hardcore band Silverstein, released on February 5, 2013 through Hopeless Records. It is also their last release under Hopeless. It is the first album to not feature long time lead guitarist Neil Boshart and first to include Paul Marc Rousseau as an official member, taking over lead guitar duties. Background and recording Silverstein announced they had signed with Hopeless on November 15, 2010. Vocalist Shane Told said the band have been "huge fans of the label since their inception". Hopeless released the band's ''Rescue'' (2011) album in April 2011 and '' Short Songs'' (2012) album in February 2012. Silverstein () is a Canadian post-hardcore band from Burlington, Ontario, formed in 2000. Their band name is a reference to the famous children's author Shel Silverstein, who the band had admired and whose work they had read as children. They have released a total of eleven studio albums, seven EPs, a compilation album and a live DVD/CD. The band achieved moderate success with their second studio album, ''Discovering the Waterfront'', which was nominated for a Juno Award and reached No. 34 on the Billboard 200, ''Billboard'' 200 charts, with the following two albums charting at similar positions. A time signature (also known as meter signature, metre signature, and measure signature) is an indication in music notation that specifies how many note values of a particular type fit into each measure ( bar). ''Rock Sound'' is a British magazine that covers rock music. The magazine aims at being more " underground" and less commercial, while also giving coverage to better-known acts. The Warped Tour is a Concert tour, touring Rock music, rock music festival that toured the United States and Canada each summer from 1995 until 2019, and returned in 2025 for its 30th anniversary. By 2015, Warped was the largest traveling music festival in the United States and the longest-running touring music festival in North America.
