Thirumalai Deivam
''Thirumalai Deivam'' is a 1973 Indian Tamil-language Hindu mythological film, directed and written by A. P. Nagarajan. The film stars Sivakumar in the title role, with K. B. Sundarambal, T. R. Mahalingam, Srividya, Lakshmi and A. V. M. Rajan in supporting roles. Plot Once upon a time, Bhrigu and other saints perfored Yajna for the welfare of all living beings. After the completion of Yajna they should offer first respect to one among the Trimurties (Brahma, Vishnu, and Shiva). They were confused, so Narada told him to test all three. When he reached Satya Loka, Brahma and Saraswathi were enjoying music played by Saraswathi so they didn't see and welcome Bhrigu. He was insulted and cursed them, so that they will not have any temple in earth. When he reached Kailasam, he saw Shiva and Parvati dancing, so they too didn't see and welcome Bhrigu. Gemini Ganesan
Ramasamy Ganesan (17 November 1920 – 22 March 2005), better known by his stage name Gemini Ganesan, was an Indian actor who worked mainly in Tamil cinema. He was referred as Kaadhal Mannan (King of Romance) for his romantic roles in films. Ganesan was one of the "three biggest names of Tamil cinema", the other two being M. G. Ramachandran and Sivaji Ganesan. While Sivaji Ganesan excelled in Drama (film and television), dramatic films and M. G. Ramachandran was popular as an action hero, Gemini Ganesan was known for his Romance film, romantic films. A recipient of the Padma Shri in 1971, he had also won several other awards including the Kalaimamani, the MGR Gold Medal, and the Screen Lifetime Achievement Award. Goddess Padmavati
Padmavati (), also known as Alarmel Mangai () or Alamelu Manga is a Hindu goddess and the consort of the deity Venkateshwara, a form of Vishnu. She is described as a daughter of a local king and an avatar of goddess Lakshmi, the consort of Vishnu. The most prominent shrine of Padmavati is Padmavati Ammavari Temple situated at Tiruchanur, a suburb of Tirupati. Ennatha Kannaiya
Ennathe Kannaiah (1925 - 7 August 2012) was a comedian who appeared in Tamil-language films. In the Ravichandran-Jayalalita starrer Naan, as he spoke his dialogues, he frequently used the word "Ennathe" () and this became his nickname. Decades later, he became even better known for his dialogue, "Varuum... Aanaa Varaadhu" (). Film career After debuting in the Tamil film Ezhai Padum Padu in 1950, he acted in more than 250 films. He predominantly was cast in supporting roles in films of M.G.Ramachandran like Nam Naadu (1969), En Annan (1970), '' Thedi Vandha Mappillai'' (1970) and others. He later starred in films including Rajinikanth's Thambikku Entha Ooru (1984). The scenes in which he appeared as a mahout were popular in the 1980s. Suruli Rajan (January 14, 1938 - December 5, 1980) was as an Indian actor and comedian who worked primarily in Tamil cinema. Posthumously, he was awarded with the Best Comedian Award by the state Government of Tamil Nadu in 1981. Early and personal life Rajan was born in 1938 in Periyakulam, situated near Theni in Tamil Nadu, India. His father, Ponnaiya Pillai, worked as an accountant for local farm owners in the surrounding areas of Theni. Rajan was named after the Surulivelar Swamy, the family deity at a temple on top of a hill overlooking Suruli Falls. Tondaiman
The Tondaiman family were Tamil rulers of the ancient Tondai Nadu ( Tondaimandalam) division of Tamilakkam in South India. Their capital was at Kanchipuram. They ruled with the Pallava dynasty, which controlled northern Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh and had its capital at Kanchipuram. Hundreds of records and edicts exist pertaining to the Tondaiman rulers of Chola dynasty.
