The Voice Of Ireland Series 1
''The Voice of Ireland'' is an Irish reality talent show. It began airing on 8 January 2012. It replaced ''The All Ireland Talent Show''. ''The Voice of Ireland'' aired on RTÉ One. Kathryn Thomas presented the main show, while Eoghan McDermott co-presented. Bressie, Kian Egan, Sharon Corr and Brian Kennedy were the coaches. Pat Byrne, mentored by Bressie, won the series. Auditions for this series took place at the end of 2011. The Blind Auditions took place at The Helix, Dublin, between 26 and 31 October in front of a live audience. On Thursday, 24 November and Friday, 25 November, each coach's artists performed at The Helix for The Battle Rounds. The Live Shows began on 4 March. Niall Breslin
Niall Breslin (born 22 October 1980), known as Bressie, is an Irish musician, former Westmeath Gaelic footballer and Leinster Rugby player. Breslin found success as the lead singer, guitarist, songwriter with pop band The Blizzards, as a co-writer and producer with XIX Entertainment and as a solo artist. ''The Voice'' is an international reality television singing competition franchise originally created by Dutch producer John de Mol Jr. and Dutch singer Roel van Velzen. It has become a rival to the '' Idol'' franchise, '' The Four'', '' Rising Star'' and ''The X Factor''. The owner of the franchise was Talpa Network up until 2020 and ITV Studios ever since. Originating from the reality singing competition '' The Voice of Holland'', many other countries adapted the format and began airing their own versions starting in 2010.
