''Temple of Shadows'' is the fifth studio and a concept album by the power metal band Angra and was released in 2004 by Paradoxx Music in Brazil and SPV label Steamhammer in the rest of the world. SPV also released a limited edition containing a bonus DVD with the complete video material of the concert that was previously released on their album '' Rebirth World Tour – Live in São Paulo''. The record was classified as the 21st best power metal album of all time by the metal magazine Loudwire. Angra (band)
Angra is a Brazilian power metal and progressive metal band formed in 1991. They have released ten regular studio albums, six EPs, and seven live CD/DVDs to date. Led by Rafael Bittencourt, the band has gained a degree of popularity in Japan and Europe. On 2 April 2015, guitarist Kiko Loureiro left Angra to join American thrash metal band Megadeth. History Formation Angra was formed in November 1991 by former Viper vocalist Andre Matos and guitarists Rafael Bittencourt and André Linhares, in a collaboration with music promoter and ''Rock Brigade'' magazine owner Antônio "Toninho" Pirani. Kiko Loureiro
Pedro Henrique "Kiko" Loureiro (; born 16 June 1972) is a Brazilian guitarist. He has been a member of several heavy metal bands, including Angra and Megadeth. Career Loureiro began studying music and playing acoustic guitar at age 11. He studied with two famous Brazilian musicians: Pedro Bueno and Mozart Mello. Inspired by various artists, including Eddie Van Halen, Jimmy Page, Jimi Hendrix, and Randy Rhoads, he moved to the electric guitar at 13 and by 16 had already joined two bands, Legalize (with Edu Mello on vocals, Dennis Belik on bass and Alja on drums) and A Chave, and was playing in nightclubs in São Paulo. At 19, he co-founded Brazilian power metal band Angra. Due to the increase in popularity of power metal, Loureiro has become quite successful, both playing in Angra and as a solo artist. Edenbridge (band)
Edenbridge is an Austrian symphonic metal led by songwriter Arne "Lanvall" Stockhammer and fronted by soprano singer Sabine Edelsbacher. Established in 1998, the band has released eleven studio albums so far. History 1998–2004 Edenbridge was formed in 1998 by guitarist and keyboardist Lanvall, singer Sabine Edelsbacher, and bassist Kurt Bednarsky. The line-up was completed when drummer Roland Navratil joined the band. Edenbridge entered the recording studio in 1999, signing a record deal with Massacre Records the same year. Fábio Laguna ( Mococa, Brazil, March 1977) is a keyboardist most famous for playing with Angra since 2001 and for being a member of Hangar band since 2002. In 2006 he released his last solo album called Freakeys along with members of both bands. Biography Born in Mococa, a small city from São Paulo state in Brazil, Fábio began playing simple keyboards from an early age. Aquiles Priester
Aquiles Priester (born 25 June 1971) is a Brazilian drummer. He is currently the drummer of Brazilian power metal band Hangar, and progressive metal bands Midas Fate and Noturnall. As a tour drummer, Priester has played with Paul Di'Anno, Vinnie Moore, Tony MacAlpine, W.A.S.P. and DragonForce. From 2001 to 2008, he was the drummer of Angra, recording three albums which were certified gold. Biography Priester was born in Outjo, South West Africa (now Namibia) to Brazilian parents. Felipe Andreoli
Felipe Andreoli (born March 7, 1980) is a Brazilian musician best known as the bassist for the power metal band Angra. He also acted as a fill in bassist for progressive metal supergroup Sons of Apollo in August 2022. Andreoli first started playing the bass at age 13, when a school band needed a bass player. After joining Angra at age 20, he started an international career, recording albums and touring. He is also a music instructor, currently having online courses. Hans Jürgen "Hansi" Kürsch (born 10 August 1966) is a German singer, best known as a member of the power metal band Blind Guardian.
