Nathan Tasker
Nathan Tasker is a prominent Christian singer/songwriter from Australia. He was named 2006 "Artist of the Year" and awarded "Song of The Year" by the Australian Christian Music Charts. He has written, recorded and produced several gospel albums. His song "Like You Love Me" reached No. 1 on the TRAA weekly Contemporary Top 30. He has also been named "Artist of the Year" for 2011 by the TRAA, with his singles claiming 5th and 6th top songs of the year chart. Tasker made his first public performance in 1993, performing approximately 1200 times since then. In addition to music, he is involved in Christian ministry through writing, singing and speaking. Joe Tasker
Joe Tasker (12 May 1948 – 17 May 1982) was a British Climbing, climber, active during the late 1970s and early 1980s. He died while climbing Mount Everest. Early life Born into a Roman Catholic family in 1948, Tasker was the second of ten children and spent his early childhood in Port Clarence, Middlesbrough. The family later moved to Billingham and Joe attended Ushaw College, Ushaw Seminary, County Durham between the ages of 13 and 20, in training to become a Catholic priest. Fascinated by ''The Climb Up to Hell'' by Jack Olsen, a book recounting harrowing tales of tragic attempts to climb the North face (Eiger), North Face of the Eiger, he started climbing in a nearby quarry in 1966. Paul Tasker
Paul Juan Tasker is an electrical engineer known for his research on microwaves. He is a professor at Cardiff University, Wales, and a Fellow of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers. Education and career Tasker earned his Bachelor of Science and PhD from the University of Leeds. With his PhD, Tasker worked as a research associate at Cornell University from 1984 to 1990, and later as a senior researcher and manager with the Fraunhofer Institute for Applied Solid State Physics (IAF). He eventually joined the faculty of Engineering at Cardiff University in 1995. William Tasker (1740–1800) was an English clergyman, scholar and poet. He made translations of works of Pindar and Horace. His own poems celebrated the "genius of Britain", which to him was both artistic and military. He was also interested in science, including physiognomy. Life William Tasker was born in 1740 at Iddesleigh, Devon. He was the only son of William Tasker (1708–1772) and Jane Vickries (died 1795). His father was rector of Iddesleigh, Devonshire, from 6 July 1738. He was educated at Barnstaple, then attended Exeter College, Oxford, matriculating on 20 February 1758. Steven Jay Tasker (born April 10, 1962) is an American sports reporter and former professional football wide receiver in the National Football League (NFL). He spent the majority of his career with the Buffalo Bills but began his career with the Houston Oilers. He was a five-time first-team All-Pro and a seven-time Pro Bowl selection, primarily as a special teams player. Tasker played college football at Dodge City Community College in Kansas before playing for the Northwestern Wildcats. He was selected in the ninth round of the 1985 NFL draft by the Oilers. Sean James Tasker (born 18 June 1968) is a former professional Australian rules footballer who played for the Adelaide Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL).
