Bernhard Tandberg
Bernhard Tandberg (14 December 1856 – 21 June 1913) was a Norwegian farmer and politician. He was born at Rustad in Lier, Norway, Lier as a son of farmers Hans Andreas Tandberg and Olava M. Skaugstad. He took secondary education in Drammen from 1867 to 1872, and later settled in Nes, Buskerud. He took over some forest owned by his father in 1881, and the family farm in 1887. He was also a timber merchant from 1886 and local savings bank director from 1888. He became a member of Nes municipal council (Norway), municipal council in 1885, and served as mayor from 1892 to 1898. He was elected to the Parliament of Norway in 1900 Norwegian parliamentary election, 1900, representing the constituency of Buskerud, Buskeruds Amt. He did not win re-election until 1909 Norwegian parliamentary election, 1909. The constituency was now called Hallingdal, a single-member constituency. References

Ron Tandberg
Ronald Peter Tandberg (31 December 1943 – 8 January 2018) was an Australian illustrator and political cartoonist who contributed to ''The Age'' newspaper in Melbourne, Australia from 1972. Tandberg's credits include eleven Walkley Awards. He was inducted into the Melbourne Press Club's Victorian Hall of Fame in 2014. Early life and education Tandberg was born in Melbourne to working-class parents and raised in a small house at the suburb of Pascoe Vale South. His grandfather was a builder who gave away his money during the Great Depression and believed in communist ideas. Raised a Catholic, his father was a maintenance electrician while his mother was an overlocker who worked in a knitting mill. Both his parents worked at William Angliss Meatworks. Tandberg was an electronics manufacturer located in Oslo, Norway (production, sales and distribution) and New York City, United States (sales and distribution). The company began in the radio field, but became more widely known for their reel-to-reel tape recorders as well as cassette decks and televisions. The original company went bankrupt in 1978, after a sharp financial downturn. The following year, the company re-formed whilst their data division was split off as Tandberg Data, including the tape recording division, which reduced its scope to data recording. Vebjørn Tandberg
Vebjørn Tandberg (16 September 1904–30 August 1978) was a Norwegian electronics engineer. Tandberg was born at Bodø in Nordland, Norway. He attended the Norwegian Institute of Technology in Trondheim (1930). He founded '' Tandbergs Radiofabrikk'' of Oslo in 1933 and made it a great success. In addition to his technical and commercial achievements, Tandberg was a pioneer in providing good conditions for his workforce. He instituted a 42-hour week and three weeks' annual vacation for all in 1937, and a free pension and health insurance scheme for all from 1938. A four-week vacation for all employees over 40 years of age was introduced in 1947, while the working week was reduced to 39 hours in 1948. Olle Tandberg
Olof Peder "Olle" Tandberg (10 October 1918 – 26 December 1996) was a Swedish heavyweight boxer. He was the European amateur boxing champion between 1937 and 1939. Biography Tandberg was born in Stockholm, Sweden on 10 October 1918. He represented Djurgårdens IF. During his career he had 30 fights, winning 23 (11 by KO), losing 6 (1 by KO), and drawing 1. He fought in the 1936 Berlin Olympics where he defeated US boxer Art Oliver. He lost in the second round of competition to Hungarian Ferenc Nagy. Carl Frederick Tandberg
Carl Frederick Tandberg (March 22, 1910 – August 26, 1988), was an American bassist who recorded with Glen Campbell and Frankie Ortega. Biography He was born on March 22, 1910, in Dorchester, Boston where his father, Thorvald Martin Tandberg I (1874–1970), managed a restaurant. Thorvald was born in Portland, Maine. Carl's mother was Alvilde Marie Naess (1875–1933) of Oslo, Norway. His maternal uncle was Alfred Næss, the Norwegian speedskater. Monna Tandberg (2 July 1939 – 25 May 2025) was a Norwegian actress. She played for Fjernsynsteatret from 1961 to 1964, for Det Norske Teatret from 1964 to 1969, and for Nationaltheatret from 1969 until her retirement in 2009.
