Pundit
A pundit is a person who offers opinion in an authoritative manner on a particular subject area (typically politics, the social sciences, technology or sport), usually through the mass media. The term pundit describes both women and men, although a specific type of conservative female pundits have been described as pundette, in particular during the Clinton presidency. Origins The term originates from the Sanskrit term ('' '' ), meaning "knowledge owner" or "learned man". It refers to someone who is erudite in various subjects and who conducts religious ceremonies and offers counsel to the king and usually referred to a person from the Hindu Brahmin but may also refer to the siddhas, Siddhars, Naths, ascetics, sadhus, or yogis (rishi). From at least the early 19th century, a Pundit of the Supreme court in Colonial India was an officer of the judiciary who advised British judges on questions of Hindu law. Bomber (album)
''Bomber'' is the third studio album by English rock band Motörhead. It was released on 12 October 1979 by Bronze Records, their second with the label. Background By 1979, Motörhead had been together for four years and had amassed a loyal following in both punk and heavy metal circles. After recording an album for United Artists that the label shelved, the band released its eponymous debut LP in 1977, but it was with 1979's ''Overkill'' that the band hit their stride. The title track landed in the UK Top 40 and, after appearing again on ''Top of the Pops'', the band returned to the studio that summer with legendary producer Jimmy Miller to record what would become ''Bomber''. However, the band did not have the opportunity to work up the songs on the road, as they had with their previous album. Black Midi
Black Midi (stylised as black midi) were an English Band (rock and pop), rock band from London, formed in 2017. Their most recent line-up consisted of lead vocalists and multi-instrumentalists Geordie Greep and Cameron Picton, along with drummer Morgan Simpson. Between 2017 and 2020, the band also included guitarist Matt Kwasniewski-Kelvin. Following his departure, the trio were frequently joined by multi-instrumentalist Seth Evans and saxophonist Kaidi Akinnibi, both as session musicians and during live performances. Their name is derived from the Japanese electronic music genre black MIDI, though their own music has no relation to it, instead incorporating styles such as math rock, progressive rock, post-punk, and avant-jazz. Part of the Windmill scene, the band began on producer Dan Carey (record producer), Dan Carey's record label Speedy Wunderground, through which they released their debut single, "bmbmbm", in 2018. Alien (Northlane Album)
''Alien'' (stylised as ''A1IEN'') is the fifth studio album by Australian heavy metal band Northlane. It was released on 2 August 2019 through UNFD. It was self-produced by the band themselves and recorded at Chris Blancato's Studio in Sydney, although Marcus Bridge's vocals were recorded at Electric Sun Studios in Arndell Park. The album's second single, "Bloodline", shows the group's continuity of slight departure from their metalcore roots and towards a more alternative and experimental sound, as established on their previous releases, ''Node'' and '' Mesmer''. It also marks the group's first shift into different genres, as they blended into the album elements of nu metal, industrial metal and EDM. This is the last album to feature their founding bassist Alex Milovic, who only appeared on the track "Vultures". Krzysztof Kieślowski (, 27 June 1941 – 14 March 1996) was a Polish film director and screenwriter.
