Syon Lane Railway Station
Syon Lane railway station in Travelcard Zone 4 is on the Hounslow Loop Line and borders the Spring Grove and New Brentford neighbourhoods of the London Borough of Hounslow in west London. The office and light industrial zone to the north-east, the West Cross Centre, has among other businesses the headquarters and studios of broadcaster and entertainment multinational company Sky. The station and all trains serving it are operated by South Western Railway. History The Southern Railway opened Syon Lane station 81 years after the line, on 5 July 1931. In December 2020, South Western Railway finished work to make the station fully accessible. Runnymede is a water-meadow alongside the River Thames in the English county of Surrey, and just over west of central London. The British Rail Class 458 ( 5-JUP) is a class of electric multiple unit passenger trains built by Alstom at Washwood Heath between 1998 and 2002 for South West Trains. They were the first new fleet of trains to be delivered following the privatisation of British Rail. The British Rail Class 707 '' Desiro City'' is an electric multiple unit passenger train. Siemens Mobility built 30 five-carriage sets. Initially leased by South West Trains, its franchise successor South Western Railway began phasing them out of their network. Since September 2021, 18 have entered service with Southeastern.
