Swing (Hong Kong Band)
Swing is a Hong Kong musical duo that was founded in 1999. The members are Eric Kwok and Jerald Chan. The group was formerly known as "Snowman". Their best known work is "1984" and "A ticket in half" （半張飛）. Swing was disbanded in 2002, but returned in 2009 for the release of the ''Wu Dang'' album. Another album ''Electro'' was released in 2010 . Career In 1997, Chan met Kwok for the first time when the former returned to Hong Kong after graduating from university. In 1999, they formed Snowman under the label ''EEI'', which was owned by EMI. In the same year they released the first album, ''Snowman''. The songs were composed and arranged by Snowman, with vocal production by Chung Ting Yat, Danny. Meanwhile, they made songs for singers such as Gigi Leung Wing-Kei. EEI closed in 2000. Cantopop
Cantopop (a contraction of "Cantonese pop music") or HK-pop (short for "Hong Kong pop music") is a genre of pop music written in standard Chinese and sung in Cantonese. Cantopop is also used to refer to the cultural context of its production and consumption. The genre began in the 1970s and became associated with Hong Kong popular music from the middle of the decade. Cantopop then reached its height of popularity in the 1980s and 1990s before slowly declining in the 2000s and experiencing a slight revival in the 2010s. The term "Cantopop" itself was coined in 1978 after "Cantorock", a term first used in 1974. In the eighties Cantopop has reached its highest glory with fanbase and concerts from allover the world, especially from Mainland China, Taiwan, Singapore, Malaysia, South Korea, and Japan. RTHK
Radio Television Hong Kong (RTHK) is the public broadcasting service in Hong Kong. GOW, the predecessor to RTHK, was established in 1928 as the first broadcasting service in Hong Kong. Prudence Liew Mei-Gwan (born 10 December 1964) is a Hong Kong pop singer and actress. A Golden Horse Award winner and platinum selling singer, she has released 16 studio albums and appeared in numerous films. Career From the age of eight, she began appearing in television commercials after high school. In 1986, while working as a film producer, Liew was approached to sing the theme song for a movie. The song, ''Midnight Love'' was on heavy rotation at major Hong Kong radio stations and she was quickly signed as the flagship artist to Current Records. Juno Mak (; born 18 March 1984) is a Hong Kong singer, record producer, actor, and director. He made his musical debut in 2002 with the EP ''On the Road.'' His albums have won Best Record three times at the Ultimate Song Chart Awards Presentation. He made his directorial debut with the horror film ''Rigor Mortis'' in 2013. Lee Hak Kan (; born 6 December 1967), better known as Hacken Lee, is a Hong Kong singer, television host and actor, active from the 1980s until today.
