St. Peter's Hospital is an NHS district general hospital in Chertsey, Surrey, England. It has 400 beds and a wide range of acute care services, including an Accident & Emergency department. It is located between Woking and Chertsey near junction 11 of the M25 motorway and is managed by Ashford and St Peter's Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. History The hospital has its origins in an Emergency Medical Service hospital established in the grounds of Botleys Mansion in September 1939. Ashford and St Peter's Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is a medium sized district general hospital working across two sites in Surrey: St Peter's Hospital in Chertsey and Ashford Hospital in Ashford. Chertsey Railway Station
Chertsey railway station serves the town of Chertsey in the Runnymede District of Surrey, England. It is on the Chertsey Loop Line and is operated by South Western Railway. The first station was opened by the London and South Western Railway, with the initial section of the Chertsey branch line, in 1848. The existing building, now a Grade II listed building, was opened on 1 October 1866. It comprises Up and Down platforms having brick buildings: the main building being on the Down side. There is a level crossing here. The platforms can hold ten carriage trains. Local mythology ascribes the design of the existing station building to William Tite but, in fact, he had stopped all architectural work about 13 years previously. Radio Wey
Radio Wey is a hospital radio station based at St Peters Hospital in Chertsey, England. It provides entertainment to the patients and staff of Ashford and St Peters Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. The station broadcasts using WiFi speakers at St Peters Hospital and Ashford Hospital, as well as on the internet to the local community of North West Surrey and Middlesex The station is run as a charity by volunteers (registered charity number 275620). Today Radio Wey has over 60 members, who work together, to present a range of live programmes each week. They also carry out all the roles necessary to run the station, such as administration, maintenance of the equipment, and raising the funds. Sir Geoffrey Edwin Pattie (born 17 January 1936) is a British former Conservative politician and Member of Parliament. Pattie was educated at Durham School, and St Catharine's College, Cambridge where he obtained an MA Honours Degree in Law and was later made an Honorary Fellow of the College.
