Spy Vs. Spy (2005 Video Game)
''Spy vs. Spy'' is a video game developed by Vicious Cycle Software and published by Global Star Software. The game is based on the ''MAD'' magazine's titular comic strip. The game features the two spies ("Black" and "White") in a unique story mode, plus two other game modes ("Modern" and "Classic"), and a multiplayer mode for up to 4 players. A GameCube version was planned, but it was cancelled. Game modes Story mode In this single-player mode, the player is able to choose between Black Spy or White Spy to complete a variety of missions filled with puzzles and a cast of enemies, including the enemy spy, all of which are AI-controlled. The story has been developed to be like an extended episode of the 1960s cartoon with a modern twist. Vicious Cycle Software
Vicious Cycle Software was an American video game development company based in Morrisville, North Carolina. History Vicious Cycle was founded in 2000 by Eric Peterson, Dave Ellis, Marc Racine and Wayne Harvey after layoffs at the local MicroProse development studio (then a Hasbro Interactive studio) forced several game developers into finding other work. Racine resigned as Vice President and Director of Production in the Spring of 2005 to pursue other ventures. Ellis left the company in the Summer of 2000, but returned in 2005 to take a position as game designer. Vicious Cycle has released titles for the PlayStation 2, Xbox, GameCube, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Wii, and PlayStation Portable systems as well as the Microsoft Windows platform. This is a list of cancelled GameCube video games. The GameCube is a video game console released by Nintendo in 2001. After the decline in market share and loss of third party game developer support in the prior generation with the Nintendo 64, Nintendo worked to repair relationships with developers with the GameCube. While Nintendo's first party games generally sold well, many third party developed game sales lagged, leading Nintendo to work with third party's to help with publishing. While this helped, there were still many game's cancelled for the platform, between second and third party pitches being rejected by Nintendo, third party support being pulled due to lack of sales, and Nintendo themselves pushing games off to their next platform, the Wii, which released in late 2006.
