Herman Trier
Herman Trier (May 10, 1845 – September 1, 1925) was a Jewish Danish educator and politician. Life Trier was born on May 10, 1845 in Copenhagen, Denmark, the son of wholesaler Adolph Meyer Trier and Sophie Bing. Trier received his early education at the Von Westenske Institut. He then went to the University of Copenhagen, studying jurisprudence there for a few years. He began studying pedagogics in 1864, ultimately winning international fame in that field. in 1876, he began publishing a series of biographies and character studies of various authors called ''Kultur-Historiske Personligheder''. Mogens Lykketoft
Mogens Lykketoft (; born 9 January 1946) is a Danish politician who served as Leader of the Social Democrats (''Socialdemokraterne'') from 2002 to 2005. He succeeded Poul Nyrup Rasmussen as party leader. After losing the 2005 parliamentary election, he resigned his office. Svend Auken
Svend Gunnarsen Auken (; 24 May 1943 – 4 August 2009) was a Danish politician. He represented the Social Democrats as a member of the Danish parliament (Folketinget) from 1971 until his death. He was married to journalist and editor Bettina Heltberg from 1966 to 1993. At his death he was married to film director Anne Wivel. He had four children. Margrete Auken is his sister. Ivar Hansen (1 November 1938 – 11 March 2003) was a Danish politician from the Liberal party '' Venstre''. He was elected to the Folketing in 1973. In 1978-1979, he was Minister of Public Works in the Anker Jørgensen cabinet. In 1998, he became speaker of the Folketing defeating his Social Democrat rival, Birte Weiss, after a drawing of lots. Erik Ninn-Hansen
Erik Ninn-Hansen (12 April 1922 – 20 September 2014) was a Danish politician. He served in the Cabinet of Hilmar Baunsgaard, first as Defence Minister, and later as Finance Minister. In the early 1970s he became leader of the Conservative People's Party, but without much success, as the party slumped to its worst-ever results in the 1973 and 1975 elections. Tamil Case In the 1980s cabinets of Poul Schlüter, Ninn-Hansen served as Justice Minister. It was from this position that he abused the powers vested in him by illegally stalling family reunion applications from relatives to Tamil refugees, known as the Tamil Case. Svend Jakobsen (1935–2022) was a Danish politician who held different cabinet posts between 1973 and 1981. He was the speaker of the Danish Parliament or Folketing from 1981 to 1989. Karl Skytte
Karl Skytte (31 March 1908 – 9 June 1986), was a Danish politician and party leader. He served as member of Folketinget for the Danish Social Liberal Party from 1947 to 1978 and as the party's leader from 1960 to 1968. He was a farmer by profession. As Minister for Agriculture from 1957 to 1964, he had only limited success in resisting the pressure for structural development of the sector resulting in the abandonment of many small farms.
