Shooting Gallery (carnival Game)
A carnival game is a game of chance or skill that can be seen at a traveling carnival, charity fund raiser, amusement arcade and amusement park, or on a state and county fair midway. They are also commonly played on holidays such as Mardi Gras, Saint Patrick's Day, and Oktoberfest. Carnival games are usually operated on a "pay per play" basis. Prices may range from a small amount, for example 25 cents, to a few dollars per play. Most games offer a small prize to the winner. Prizes may include items like stuffed animals, toys, or posters. Continued play is encouraged as multiple small prizes may be traded in for a larger prize. A shooting range, firing range, gun range or shooting ground is a specialized facility, sports venue, venue or playing field, field designed specifically for firearm usage qualifications, training, practice or shooting sport, competitions. Some shooting ranges are operated by military or law enforcement agencies, though the majority of ranges are privately owned by civilians and sporting clubs and cater mostly to recreational shooters. Each facility is typically overseen by one or more supervisory personnel, variously called a ''range master'' or "Range Safety Officer" (RSO) in the United States, or a ''range conducting officer'' (RCO) in the United Kingdom. Shooting Gallery (game Accessory)
The Magnavox Odyssey is the first commercial home video game console. The hardware was designed by a small team led by Ralph H. Baer at Sanders Associates, while Magnavox completed development and released it in the United States in September 1972 and overseas the following year. The Odyssey consists of a white, black, and brown box that connects to a television set, and two rectangular controllers attached by wires. It is capable of displaying three square dots and one line of varying height on the screen in monochrome black and white, with differing behavior for the dots depending on the game played. Players place plastic overlays on the screen to display additional visual elements for each game, and one or two players for each game control their dots with the knobs and buttons on the controller by the rules given for the game. Shooter video games or shooters are a subgenre of action video games where the focus is almost entirely on the defeat of the character's enemies using the weapons given to the player. Usually these weapons are firearms or some other long-range weapons, and can be used in combination with other tools such as grenades for indirect offense, armor for additional defense, or accessories such as telescopic sights to modify the behavior of the weapons. A common resource found in many shooter games is ammunition, armor or health, or upgrades which augment the player character's weapons. Shooter games test the player's spatial awareness, reflexes, and speed in both isolated single player or networked multiplayer environments. Shooting Gallery (band)
Shooting Gallery was a hard rock band featuring, among others, the former Hanoi Rocks guitarist Andy McCoy, Dave Tregunna (also of Sham 69, The Lords of the New Church) and Paul Garisto from The Psychedelic Furs. The original line up for the band started in Los Angeles after McCoy had signed a recording deal for a solo album, but ended up recording with a full band forming Shooting Gallery. The band toured in the United States as an opening act for Kiss on their North American Revenge club tour in 1992 and released one album, titled ''Shooting Gallery'', that same year. In his book 'Rockstar', McCoy says the band opened about 70 gigs for Kiss, but there were only 13 club gigs in the United States before the actual arena tour to promote the album. After moving back to Finland in 1994 McCoy pursued with the band, with a totally different line-up, including his wife, Angela Nicoletti as a background singer, and original Hanoi Rocks drummer Gyp Casino in drums. ''This Ole House'' is a 1980/1981 album by Welsh rock and roll singer Shakin' Stevens. The album was originally released in October 1980 under the name ''Marie, Marie'' but failed to chart. When single "This Ole House" reached No. 1 in the UK Singles Chart the album was re-issued in March 1981 with the new title and song added, peaking at No. 2 in the UK Albums Chart. Background The album was originally released in October 1980 on the back of his first top 20 hit " Marie, Marie". However, a later single "This Ole House" became a much bigger hit, peaking at No. 1 for three weeks in March 1981. The album was quickly re-issued with the same cover but now under the title ''This Ole House''. It peaked at No. 2, giving Stevens' his first top ten album. TSG Pictures (also known as The Shooting Gallery) was a film production company established in 1990 by Bob Gosse, Larry Meistrich, Larry Russo, Whitney Ransick, Christopher Walsh, Eli Kabillio, Daniel Silverman and David Tuttle in association with Hal Hartley, Ted Hope, Nick Gomez and Michael Almereyda.
