Scottish Secondary Teachers' Association
The Scottish Secondary Teachers' Association (SSTA) is Scotland's second largest teachers' union. It was created to focus on secondary education issues, in reaction to the perception of national influence exercised by the primary education sector. The SSTA is affiliated to the STUC and Education International. Learning and Teaching Scotland (LTS or LT Scotland) was a non-departmental public body of the Scottish Government, formed by the merger of the Scottish Consultative Council on the Curriculum (SCCC) and the Scottish Council for Educational Technology (SCET). The General Teaching Council for Scotland (GTCS) (Scottish Gaelic: ''Comhairle Choitcheann Teagaisg na h-Alba'') is a fee based registered charity and the world's first independent self-regulating body for teaching.
