Santosham (1955 Film)
''Santosham'' () is a 1955 Telugu-language drama film, produced by M. Somasundaram under the Jupiter Pictures banner and directed by C. P. Deekshith. The film stars N. T. Rama Rao, Anjali Devi and Jamuna, with music composed by Viswanathan–Ramamoorthy. It is a remake of the Tamil film ''Velaikari'' (1949) and it was simultaneously made in Hindi as ''Naya Aadmi'' (1956). Plot Zamindar Dayanidhi is a deceitful vicious miser whose profession is to take advantage of the destitute by giving loans and taking authority over them. Unable to repay the money he has borrowed from Zamindar for his son Anand's higher studies, Sundaraiah commits suicide. A depressed Anand makes an aborted bid to kill the Zamindar and on the same night, he along with his friend Madan Mohan stumbles upon the corpse of an England-returned rich young man Paramanand, who resembles Anand. Santosham (2002 Film)
''Santosham'' ( Happiness) is a 2002 Indian Telugu-language comedy drama film directed by Dasaradh who co-wrote the film with Gopimohan and Trivikram Srinivas. It stars Nagarjuna Akkineni, Prabhu Deva, Gracy Singh (her Telugu debut) and Shriya Saran. The music was composed by R. P. Patnaik. The film won two Nandi Awards and two Filmfare Awards South. Released on 9 May 2002, the film was well received by critics and was declared a ''Blockbuster'' at the box office. It became the highest grossing film in Nagarjuna's career and was one of the highest grossing films of the year. It was a welcome break for Nagarjuna from consecutive flops he suffered since 2000. Relangi Venkata Ramayya ( 9 August 1910 – 27 November 1975), known mononymously by his surname as Relangi, was an Indian actor, comedian, and producer known for his works predominantly in Telugu cinema. He was honoured with the Padma Shri for his contribution to Indian cinema in 1970. Relangi is particularly known for his comic expressions, and dialogues during the 1950s and 1960s. Pithapuram Nageswara Rao (5 May 1930 – 5 March 1996) was an Indian playback singer who worked in the early period of Telugu cinema. He sang thousands of songs, mostly of a comedic nature, in the 1950s and 1960s along with Madhavapeddi Satyam and others. He also sang for a couple of movies in Kannada. Ghantasala Venkateswararao (4 December 1922 – 11 February 1974), known mononymously by his surname as Ghantasala, was an Indian playback singer and film composer known for his works predominantly in Telugu and Kannada cinema and also in Tamil, Malayalam, Tulu and Hindi language films.
