Sabaton is a Swedish heavy metal band from Falun, Sweden. The vast majority of their albums are written about historical events, mainly wars and significant battles. Sabaton has been referred to as one of the "big four" power metal bands, along with Helloween, Blind Guardian and DragonForce. They are one of the most successful metal bands in Swedish history, with their album '' Carolus Rex'' being the best-selling Swedish heavy metal album of all time. History Formation and first albums (1999–2009) Sabaton was formed in December 1999. After the first songs were recorded in Peter Tägtgren's studio, The Abyss, Sabaton was contacted by a couple of record labels. The band signed with the Italian label Underground Symphony, which then released, internationally, the promo CD ''Fist for Fight''. ''The Great War'' is the ninth studio album by Swedish heavy metal band Sabaton. It was released on 19 July 2019. It is the first studio album to feature guitarist Tommy Johansson. Like many of Sabaton's albums, it is a concept album, this time about World War I, often known as the Great War. The songs cover multiple stories from the war, including those of Manfred von Richthofen, T.E. Lawrence, Alvin York, the Attack of the Dead Men, the Battle of Verdun, and others. The album's first single, "Fields of Verdun", was released on 3 May 2019. The album's next single, "The Red Baron" was released on 13 June. The title song, "Great War", was released as a single on 27 June. A music video for the track "82nd All the Way" was released on 20 July. The Last Stand (Sabaton Album)
''The Last Stand'' is the eighth studio album by Swedish heavy metal band Sabaton. It was produced by Peter Tägtgren in the Abyss Studios in Sweden and released on 19 August 2016. Like Sabaton's previous album Heroes, ''The Last Stand'' is a concept album and takes inspiration from "last stand" military battles. On 10 June 2016 the first single "The Lost Battalion" was released, followed by "Blood of Bannockburn" on 15 July and "Shiroyama" on 12 August. A lyric video for the title track was released on 25 January 2018. In 2021, Sabaton released a special History Channel Edition of the album to subscribers to the Sabaton History Patreon, featuring historical prefaces to each song by channel host Indy Neidell. The version had originally been planned for April 2020, but it and the History Channel Edition of ''Heroes'' suffered production delays due to the COVID-19 pandemic and label Nuclear Blast's purchase by Believe Digital. Heroes (Sabaton Album)
''Heroes'' is the seventh studio album by Swedish heavy metal band Sabaton. It was released on 6 May 2014. It is the first album to feature the new Sabaton line-up with guitarists Chris Rörland and Thobbe Englund, as well as new drummer Hannes van Dahl. It was produced by Peter Tägtgren in Abyss Studios. The artwork was made by Péter Sallai and the photos were created by Ryan Garrison. The first single ''To Hell and Back'' from their album was released digitally on 14 March 2014 and available on iTunes, Nuclear Blast, Amazon and Google Play. The second single ''Resist And Bite'' was also released digitally on 2 May 2014, available on iTunes, Nuclear Blast and Amazon. Pär Sundström said about the album's concept: "Well, I think this is a perfect concept for Sabaton. We decided to go for the idea to write about individuals instead of bigger battles. Individuals who we think basically went beyond their call of duty, put themselves into harm's way for the good of others".

The Polish Society of the Phonographic Industry ( pl, Związek Producentów Audio-Video, ZPAV) is the trade organization that represents the interests of the music industry in Poland, and the Polish chapter of the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry (IFPI). The Art Of War (Sabaton Album)
''The Art of War'' is the fourth album by Swedish heavy metal band Sabaton. The album is based on the ancient Chinese military treatise, ''The Art of War'' written by General Sun Tzu in the 6th century BC. It consists of 13 chapters, each of which describe a different aspect of warfare, and is considered the definitive work on military tactics and strategies of its time. The tracks on the album correspond to each chapter of treatise. The lyrics of the songs are about famous battles or war, mostly based on the battles of the First and Second World Wars where Sun Tzu's tactics were applied. ''Metalizer'' is the third full-length release by Swedish heavy metal band Sabaton, but was actually recorded as their professional debut album (second overall) in 2002. The band's first record company, Underground Symphony, withheld the recordings for several years before arranging to release the rights to the band's new label Black Lodge Records. The band's first album, the demo compilation '' Fist for Fight'', is included as a bonus disc with a previously unreleased track. Most of the tracks on the first disc are re-recordings from this release. ''Metalizer'' reached 21st place in the Swedish album charts. Attero Dominatus
''Attero Dominatus'' is the second studio album by Swedish heavy metal band Sabaton, as well as the first to feature keyboardist Daniel Mÿhr. The album reached 16th place on the Swedish album charts, remaining in the listings for seven weeks. A video for the title track was shot in Umeå, Sweden, by Nocturnal Rites' drummer Owe Lingvall. For the recording, the band wore camouflage gear, and singer Joakim Brodén donned a vest with metal plates, both features which came to be part of the band's regular stage gear from that point on.
