SRT Light Red Line
The SRT Light Red Line, or Nakhon Withi Line ( th, รถไฟชานเมือง นครวิถี) is part of the SRT Red Lines suburban railway system serving the greater Bangkok Metropolitan Region running for 15 km between Krung Thep Aphiwat Central Terminal and Taling Chan. The completed line will run east–west from Sala Ya in Phutthamonthon District of Nakhon Pathom Province to Hua Mak Railway Station in Bangkok. The segment from Taling Chan to Bang Son previously opened for limited, free trial service between 5 December 2012 and 13 January 2014 with only 12 services a day until all services were fully suspended due to the lack of rolling stock. After a much delayed completion of electrification of the line and the construction of Bang Sue Grand Station, the line finally opened for trial operations on 2 August 2021. Bang Sue Central Station
Bang Sue Grand Station ( th, สถานีกลางบางซื่อ, , ; ), also known by its ceremonial name Krung Thep Aphiwat Central Terminal Station ( th, สถานีกลางกรุงเทพอภิวัฒน์, , ; ) in Chatuchak, Bangkok, is Thailand's new railway hub. It will replace the existing Bangkok railway station (Hua Lamphong) as the terminus for long-distance rail services from Bangkok with most services switching in January 2023. MRT Yellow Line
The MRT Yellow Line is an elevated mass rapid transit line currently under construction in Bangkok and Samut Prakan Province, Thailand. The 30.4 km line will have 23 stations and cost 55 billion baht. The line was originally proposed in 2005 by the Office of Transport and Traffic Policy and Planning to be a heavy rail underground line along Lat Phrao road and then elevated from Lam Sali junction to Samrong. However, it was decided in 2012 to build an elevated monorail line for the whole length in order to reduce construction costs. The MRT Yellow Line will provide mass transit along the heavily congested Lat Phrao road and Srinagarindra road corridors. MRT Blue Line
The MRT Blue Line ( th, รถไฟฟ้า สายสีน้ำเงิน) or MRT Chaloem Ratchamongkon Line ( th, รถไฟฟ้ามหานคร สายเฉลิมรัชมงคล) is Bangkok's third rapid transit line, following the Sukhumvit line and Silom line of the BTS Skytrain. SRT Dark Red Line
The SRT Dark Red Line, or Thani Ratthaya Line ( th, รถไฟชานเมือง สายธานีรัถยา) is part of the SRT Red Line suburban railway system to serve the greater Bangkok Metropolitan Region running for 26 km between Bang Sue Grand Station and Rangsit. When fully completed, the line will run on a north–south axis through Bangkok, from Thammasat University's Rangsit campus in Pathum Thani Province to Maha Chai in Samut Sakhon Province for a full length of nearly 87 km. Construction started in 2013 and was originally due to be completed within 3 years by the end of 2016. However, the project experienced numerous delays.
