Ayiman Suroor Marhoon Al-Maawali (; born 25 April 1980), commonly known as Ayiman Suroor, is an Omani footballer who played for Al-Seeb Club from 2003 to 2004 in the Omani League. Suroor Barabankvi
Syed Saeed-ur-Rehman, also known by his pen name Suroor Barabankvi, ( 30 January 1919 – 13 April 1980) was a Pakistani Urdu poet and lyricist. Life and career Born Syed Saeed ur Rehman in Barabanki, Uttar Pradesh, British India in 1919, he wrote under the pseudonym ''Suroor'' (exhilaration). He started his poetry at the age of 18. He recited his poetry to Jigar Moradabadi, who appreciated his poetic talent. In 1951, Suroor participated in the Independence Day Mushaira at Dhaka, East Pakistan along with Jigar Moradabadi. In 1952, he visited East Pakistan where the noted Urdu scholar Abdul Haq offered him the job of General Secretary in the ‘'Anjuman-i Taraqqi-i Urdu’', in their Dhaka branch office and he started a magazine named ‘Filkaar’ there. Mohammed Suroor Sabban
Mohammed Suroor Sabban (1898–1971) was a politician, economist, publisher, and poet from Qunfodah, Saudi Arabia. Biography Mohammed was born in Qunfodah and raised in Mecca. His family originated from North Africa who were taken to Saudi Arabia as slaves. His father was a slave of Sabban family of Mecca who was freed later. Sabban family raised and educated Mohammed. He was a member of the Hejazi National Party which stripped the Hashemites crown from Hejaz in 1925. He was the owner and publisher of a significant newspaper in Hejaz, ''Sout Al Hejaz''. Ale Ahmad Suroor
Ale Ahmad Suroor (1911-2002) was an Urdu poet, critic and professor from India. He is best known for his literary criticism. In 1974 he was honoured with the Sahitya Akademi Award by the Government of India for his literary critic work, ''Nazar aur Nazariya''. In 1991 he was also awarded the Padma Bhushan, India's third highest civilian award. He was awarded a special gold medal by the President of Pakistan on the centenary of the birth of Muhammad Iqbal. Early life Suroor was born in the Badaun city of Uttar Pradesh on 9 September 1911. He studied Science and graduated from St John's College, Agra. He completed his master's degree in English literature in 1934. Elaha Soroor also spelled as Elaha Sorur ( prs, الهه سرور); (born in 1988) is a pop singer from Afghanistan. She participated in the musical reality show ''Afghan Star'', a television program similar to the ''Idol'' franchise. She is a member of the Hazara ethnic group of Afghanistan. Personal life Soroor was born in Iran into a religious family of refugees who left Afghanistan during the civil war, and lived there for 14 years. She and her family moved back to Afghanistan in 2005.
