Stephen Evens
Stephen Paul Gilchrist (born January 1975) is an English musician from London who also teaches drums and guitar across London. Gilchrist releases music under the name Stephen Evens (stylised Stephen EvEns) and wrote and recorded under the name Stuffy with his band Stuffy/The Fuses (whose second album, ''Angels Are Ace'', was recorded by Steve Albini) from 2003 to 2009, reforming in 2023. He is best known as the drummer in Blur guitarist Graham Coxon's live band, and also appears on Coxon's live albums, '' Burnt to Bitz: At the Astoria'' and '' Live at the Zodiac'', and on the single " Bloody Annoying / What Ya Gonna Do Now?". Gilchrist supplied the drums for the Graham Coxon and Jimmy Pursey's single supporting the England national football team at the 2006 FIFA World Cup. Graham Coxon
Graham Leslie Coxon (born 12 March 1969) is an English guitarist, singer and songwriter who came to prominence as a founding member of the rock band Blur. As the group's lead guitarist and secondary vocalist, Coxon is featured on all of Blur's studio discography (although 2003's ''Think Tank'' only features his playing on one album track, plus two B-side tracks, due to his temporary departure from the band during recording sessions for the album). He has also led a solo career since 1998, producing and playing all instrumentation on his solo albums. As well as being a musician, Coxon is a visual artist: he designed the cover art for all his solo albums as well as Blur's '' 13'' (1999). Christopher Jon Thorpe-Tracey (born 16 September 1974), known professionally as Chris T-T, is a retired English singer-songwriter based in Brighton. In a 20-year career he released 10 studio albums, two live collections and a number of collaborations. He is also a speaker, piano accompanist, activist and radio presenter, and he has written for a range of publications. For several years he contributed a weekly column on the arts to the left-wing newspaper ''The Morning Star''. Queenadreena
Queenadreena were an English alternative rock band that formed in London, England in 1998 by vocalist KatieJane Garside and guitarist Crispin Gray, who had previously collaborated in the celebrated but short-lived band Daisy Chainsaw. Garside and Gray, who had earned a reputation for their abrasive songwriting with Daisy Chainsaw, incorporated elements of blues rock and other genres with Queenadreena, in addition to their predominant noise rock influences. The band released four studio albums between 2000 and 2008, beginning with the critically acclaimed ''Taxidermy'' (2000). Beachbuggy were a British rock music, rock group formed in early 1992 in Doncaster by Darren Belk, Jack Straker (guitar/vocals), Hugh "Hug" Kelly, Jim VeVee (drums) and A.D (bass). Republica are an English alternative rock band formed in 1994. They reached the height of their popularity from 1996 to 1999. The band went on hiatus in 2001 and reunited in 2008. Magoo are an English indie rock band which formed in Norfolk, England in 1992. Biography The band's influences include Guided by Voices, Stereolab, Pavement, the Flaming Lips and John Peel, and spent their early years playing local venues in the Norwich area. Jennifer Gentle is an Italian psychedelic rock band. The band's name derives from a verse of the song "Lucifer Sam" by Syd Barrett. History Jennifer Gentle was formed by Marco Fasolo and Alessio Gastaldello in early 2000, after the breakup of Marco’s previous band, Carcers. Later, these two young men teamed up with guitarist Isacco Maretto and bassist Nick Crivellari, which would complete the early stage of this Northern Italian rock group. The Godfathers
The Godfathers are an English rock band from London, England, with strong influences from R&B and punk. Career The Godfathers were formed by Peter and Chris Coyne (vocals and bass, respectively) after the demise of The Sid Presley Experience in 1985, joined by Mike Gibson (guitar), Kris Dollimore (guitar) and George Mazur (drums). Kathleen Riddick
Kathleen Riddick (17 July 1907 - 5 February 1973) was a British musician, one of the first women in Britain to establish herself in the male-dominated profession of conducting. To do so at a time when it was "considered impossible" for a woman to become a conductor Riddick was initially obliged to found her own ensembles to lead. They included the Surrey Philharmonic Orchestra in 1932 (of which she was the conductor for 40 years), the London Women's String Orchestra (later the Riddick Orchestra) in 1938, and The London Opera Group Orchestra which was led by Miriam Morley. But she also appeared as guest conductor of BBC orchestras and the London Symphony Orchestra.
