Norway was represented at the Eurovision Song Contest 2012 with the song "Stay" written by Tooji, Peter Boström and Figge Boström. The song was performed by Tooji. The NRK, Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation (NRK) organised the national final ''Melodi Grand Prix 2012'' in order to select the Norwegian entry for the 2012 contest in Baku, Azerbaijan. 24 entries competed in the national final that consisted of three semi-finals and a final. Ten entries ultimately qualified to compete in the final on 11 February 2012 where the winner was determined over two rounds of voting. Tooji
Touraj Keshtkar (; born 26 May 1987), known professionally as Tooji, is an Iranian-born Norwegian singer, painter, model and television host. He represented Norway in the Eurovision Song Contest 2012, Norway in the Eurovision Song Contest 2012 in Baku, Azerbaijan and finished 26th (last) in the final. Career Tooji Keshtkar was born in Shiraz, Iran, and moved to Norway when he was one year old. His mother is author and political commentator Lily Bandehy. At the age of 16, he started modelling. Afterwards, he started working on MTV Norway where he presented "Super Saturday" and "Tooji's Top 10". He was also educated as a social worker and has worked in asylum reception centres. Wig Wam is a Norwegian glam metal band formed in Halden in 2001. The Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2005 was the third edition of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest for young singers aged 8 to 15. On 26 November 2005, the contest was broadcast live from the Trixxo Arena, Ethias Arena in Hasselt, Belgium, in a joint effort by the national broadcasters Vlaamse Radio- en Televisieomroep (VRT) and RTBF, Radio télévision belge de la communauté française (RTBF), in co-operation with the European Broadcasting Union. Malin Reitan
Malin (born Malin Reitan; 8 August 1995) is a Norwegian singer. She finished 3rd in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2005 with her song "''Sommer og skolefri''". She is also a recording artist with several released albums. Malin sings in her regional dialect. Biography Reitan was born in Trondheim, and her career as a singer started when she was nine years old. She auditioned for the Norwegian selection for JESC 2005, the Melodi Grand Prix Junior 2005, and she was selected to sing among ten contestants in the final show. Her song was too short though, so she had to write one more verse for it on the way home from the audition. After surprising herself by winning MGP Jr by a landslide, she went on a summer concert tour, singing at festivals and on television shows. Dollie de Luxe were a Norwegian pop duo consisting of Benedicte Adrian (lead vocal) and Ingrid Bjørnov (keyboard and vocal). Their debut album ''Første Akt'' from 1980 was awarded Spellemannprisen. Benedicte Christine Adrian Mouton (born 22 October 1963) is a Norwegian singer and artist. She has released material on her own, but is best known for her collaboration with Ingrid Bjørnov in the pop duo Dollie de Luxe (1980–1994). She has also distinguished herself as a solo artist for several years, with the role as "Queen of the Night" in Mozart's ''The Magic Flute'' at the Norwegian Opera.
