''Stand By for Pain'' is the second and final studio album by American heavy metal band Widowmaker, released on October 10, 1994. Background ''Stand By for Pain'' was written, rehearsed, recorded, mixed and mastered between July 7 and August 24, 1994. Speaking of the fast turnaround for the album, frontman Dee Snider told '' The Weekender'' in 1995, "I'm crazy about this record. We did this thing in 30 days, and we did it how we wanted to do it. No worrying about how fast the 'hook' comes in a song." He also noted the "vast difference" between the band's debut album, ''Blood and Bullets'', and ''Stand By for Pain'', with the latter being "very much a '90s sounding record". For the album, Snider was influenced by a number of grunge bands popular at the time, including Soundgarden and Alice in Chains. Gregory Calbi (born April 3, 1949) is an American mastering engineer at Sterling Sound, New Jersey. Biography Greg Calbi was born on April 3, 1949, in Yonkers, New York, and raised in Bayside, Queens, New York. He graduated in 1966 from Bishop Reilly High School in Fresh Meadows. Calbi earned his bachelor's degree in Mass Communications at Fordham University where he studied with Marshall McLuhan and his staff for 3 of those years. He then earned his master's degree in Political Media Studies (Speech Department) at the University of Massachusetts. During these college years, Calbi drove an NYC cab and sold ladies shoes, and was intent on becoming a documentary filmmaker. Joey Franco
Joe "Seven" Franco (born 1951) is an American drummer best known for his work with the band The Good Rats in the late 1970s and later as a member of Twisted Sister. Biography Joe Franco, a 1969 graduate of Brooklyn Technical High School, became a member of the band The Good Rats in 1972. He also produced and played in the horror rock band Van Helsing's Curse, which also featured Twisted Sister lead vocalist Dee Snider, and on the Magellan album '' Hundred Year Flood''. Franco replaced A. J. Pero in Twisted Sister in 1986, and stayed in the band for about a year until its break-up in 1987. Bernie Tormé
Bernie Tormé (born Bernard Joseph Tormey; 18 March 1952 – 17 March 2019) was an Irish rock guitarist, songwriter, record label and recording studio owner. Tormé is best known for his work with Gillan, as well as his brief stint with Ozzy Osbourne replacing Randy Rhoads. He formed the band Desperado with Twisted Sister singer Dee Snider. Al Pitrelli (born September 26, 1962) is an American guitarist, best known for his work with the Trans-Siberian Orchestra, Megadeth, Alice Cooper and Savatage. Twisted Sister was an American Heavy metal music, heavy metal band formed in 1972 in Ho-Ho-Kus, New Jersey, and later based on Long Island, New York (state), New York.
