Sprint (TV Series)
''Sprint'' is a television documentary series produced in a collaboration between Netflix and World Athletics, to give a behind-the-scenes look at the athletes and races of the Diamond League, World Athletics Championships, and Olympic Games. The series debuted with six episodes on 2 July 2024 covering the 2023 Diamond League and 2023 World Athletics Championships. The series was renewed for a second season which covered athletics at the 2024 Summer Olympics, released on 13 November 2024. Production and concept The series was produced by Box to Box Films, the same organization that produced the popular '' Formula 1: Drive to Survive'' series since 2019. Docudrama
Docudrama (or documentary drama) is a genre of television show, television and feature film, film, which features Drama (film and television), dramatized Historical reenactment, re-enactments of actual events. It is described as a hybrid of documentary and drama and "a fact-based representation of real event". Docudramas typically strive to adhere to known historical facts, while allowing some degree of Artistic license, dramatic license in peripheral details, such as when there are gaps in the historical record. Dialogue may, or may not, include the actual words of Reality, real-life people, as recorded in historical documents. Ferdinand Omanyala
Ferdinand Omanyala Omurwa (born 2 January 1996) is a Kenyan sprinter competing in the 60 metres, 100 m and 200 m. In 2022, he won his first international championships, with victories in the 100 m at the Commonwealth Games, and African Championships in Athletics. Omanyala is the African record holder and the ninth-fastest man of all time in the event after clocking a time of 9.77 seconds on 18 September 2021 in Nairobi. She won the bronze medal at the 2024 Summer Olympics in the Athletics at the 2024 Summer Olympics – Women's 100 metres, 100 metres. Letsile Tebogo (; born 7 June 2003) is a Botswana sprinter. He won the gold medal at the 2024 Summer Olympics in the 200 metres event, with his win earning the first-ever Olympic gold medal for Botswana. He also won the silver medal at the 2023 World Championships in the 100 m and followed it up with a bronze medal in the 200 m five days later. Tebogo won in the 100 metres and placed second in the 200 metres at both the 2021 and 2022 World Athletics Under-20 Championships. Christian Coleman (born March 6, 1996) is an American professional track and field sprinter who competes in the 60 metres, 100 m and 200 m. The 2019 world champion in the 100 meters, he also won gold as part of men's 4 × 100-meter relay. He holds personal bests of 9.76 seconds for the 100 m, which made him the 6th fastest all-time in the history of 100 metres event, and 19.85 for the 200 m. Oblique Seville (born 16 March 2001) is a Jamaican track and field athlete who competes as a sprinter. He finished fourth in the men's 100 metres at the 2022 and 2023 World Athletics Championships. Kishane Thompson (born 17 July 2001) is a Jamaican track and field athlete who competes as a sprinter. He won the silver medal at the 2024 Summer Olympics in the 100 metres event. Career A member of the MVP Track Club, Thompson competed at the Jamaican Championships in June 2023, and ran 9.91 seconds for the 100 metres in his qualifying heat.
