Gertrudes Rita da Silva (18251888), often known just as Gertrudes, was a 19th-century Portuguese actress, who was particularly known for her comic performances. Early life Gertrudes Rita de Azevedo was born on 31 January 1825, in the parish of São Paulo in the Portuguese capital of Lisbon.
