Shirley Muldowney
Shirley Muldowney (born June 19, 1940), also known professionally as "Cha Cha" and the "First Lady of Drag racing, Drag Racing", is an American auto racer. She was the first woman to receive a license from the National Hot Rod Association (NHRA) to drive a Top Fuel Drag racing, dragster. She won the NHRA Top Fuel championship in 1977, 1980, and 1982, becoming the first person to win two and three Top Fuel titles. She won a total of 18 NHRA national events. Racing career Born Shirley Ann Roque in Burlington, Vermont, on June 19, 1940, Muldowney began street racing in the 1950s in Schenectady, New York. "School had no appeal to me. Automobile Driving Museum
The Automobile Driving Museum is an automotive museum located at 610 Lairport Street, El Segundo, California, USA. The museum is nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization, founded in by car collectors Stanley Zimmerman and architect Earl Rubenstein. Its mission is to "collect, preserve, exhibit and ride in historic vehicles." It contains about 130 classic, antique, and vintage automobiles created between 1886 and 2000, of which roughly half are on display at any time. Tommy Ivo (born April 18, 1936), also known as "TV Tommy" and "Instant Ivo" is an American actor and drag racer, who was active in the 1960s racing community. Acting Ivo was born in Denver, Colorado. His acting career began in the early 1940s, with notable performances including Cousin Arne in '' I Remember Mama'' (1948), Joey in ''Prejudice'' (1949), David in '' The Lost Volcano'' with Johnny Sheffield. and William Button in '' Plymouth Adventure'' (1952). The Logghe Stamping Company (commonly known as Logghe Brothers) is a dragster and funny car fabricator based in Detroit, Michigan.
