Sheikh–Wazed Family
The Sheikh Mujib family ( bn, শেখ মুজিব পরিবার) is a prominent Bangladeshi political dynasty, which primarily consists of Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, Sheikh Hasina and their relatives. The Sheikh Mujib family is most powerful family In Bangladesh. Their political involvement has traditionally revolved around the Bangladesh Awami League. Family origin The first Sheikh family member to come to Bengal was Sheikh Awwal. He was originally from Baghdad but settled in Chittagong in the 15th century, after he visited the region to preach Islam. He was married to a Bengali woman from Sonargaon and settled over there with his wife. His son, Sheikh Zahiruddin, married a girl from the Khandakar family of Kandirpar and settled there with his family. Bangladesh Jatiya Party
The Bangladesh Jatiya Party is a political party in Bangladesh. It is a splinter group of the original Jatiya Party, that was founded by the former President of Bangladesh Hossain Mohammad Ershad. It was previously known as Jatiya Party (Naziur), after the late party chairman Naziur Rahman Manju (also written as Manzur). Manju was a freedom fighter in the War of Liberation in 1971 and he served as the Local Government Rural Development Minister and Mayor of Dhaka under President HM Ershad. Naziur also served as the secretary general of the Jatiya Party between 1998 and 2001. Abul Hasnat Abdullah
Abul Hasanat Abdullah (born 10 December 1944) is a Bangladesh Awami League politician and a member of parliament for constituency Barisal-1. Career Abdullah was elected Upazila Chairman in Barisal in 1973. In 1975, his father, Abdur Rab Serniabat, was killed in the 15 August 1975 Bangladesh coup d'état. He and his family members fled Bangladesh. The new Government of Bangladesh declared his land vested property and took over them. In 2001, the land was returned to him. Sheikh Abu Naser
Sheikh Abu Naser (1928–1975) was a Bangladeshi politician and the only brother of the first President of Bangladesh, Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. He was the uncle of the present Prime Minister of Bangladesh, Sheikh Hasina. Early life His elder brother was Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and he had 4 sisters. Abdur Rab Serniabat
Abdur Rob Serniabat (1921-1975) was a Bangladeshi politician and the former water resources minister. He was the brother-in-law of Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, founding father of Bangladesh, and the maternal uncle of Sheikh Hasina, the four-time prime minister of Bangladesh.
