Sea Of Light (album)
''Sea of Light'' is the 19th album by the British rock band Uriah Heep, released on 1 May 1995. Its songs have remained part of the band's live set to this day. Bassist Trevor Bolder sang lead on "Fear of Falling" and delivered four songs for this album, as many as on the predecessor ''Different World'', a count he never reached before or after. Roger Dean was responsible for the sleeve painting, his third for Uriah Heep. Uriah Heep are an English rock music, rock band formed in London in 1969. Their current lineup consists of guitarist Mick Box, keyboardist Phil Lanzon, lead vocalist Bernie Shaw, drummer Russell Gilbrook, and bassist Dave Rimmer. Rolf Köhler
Rolf Köhler (24 May 1951 – 16 September 2007) was a German singer and record producer. Career Köhler initially achieved commercial success performing under the pseudonym Marc de Ville in the late 1970s. As Marc de Ville, he recorded a few singles, including "Annie (I Don't Wanna Talk About the Weather)", "Walking Alone in the Rain" and "California". Köhler performed with a diverse range of musicians, including Marius Müller-Westernhagen and heavy metal band Saxon. He also wrote a number of German songs, including "Wenns um Geld geht", "Tortella" and "BIFI". Köhler was part of the Modern Talking choir that used a falsetto style. Piet Sielck (born 14 November 1964) is a German guitarist, singer and record producer. He is the frontman of the power metal band Iron Savior as well as owner of the studio Powerhouse in Hamburg. Early life Born in Hamburg, Sielck started playing piano at the age of eight and bass at the age of ten, but realized after half a year that bass was not his favourite instrument and took up the guitar. Career Sielck's first band was Gentry, which he formed along with Kai Hansen. In 1982, he left the band and worked first as a technician, then traveled for one year to Los Angeles. Bernie Shaw
Bernard Shaw (born 15 June 1956) is a Canadian-English singer, and since 1986, the lead vocalist of British rock band Uriah Heep (band), Uriah Heep. Career At the beginning of 1970 Shaw dreamed of becoming a rock guitarist. He bought himself a Gibson Guitar Corporation, Gibson SG Special and started practicing. When the local band Cold Sweat was looking for a second guitarist in 1974, Shaw auditioned, but bass player Bill Kempster advised him to put down the guitar and to buy a mic from their old singer and come back the next week. Shaw followed up this advice, and when he auditioned as a singer the band hired him as their new vocalist. Cold Sweat toured extensively over the next three years, playing across British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, and into Manitoba. Their live set of a mixture of classic melodic rock soon became their calling card on the hotel, and live club scene. Lee Kerslake
Lee Gary Kerslake (16 April 1947– 19 September 2020) was an English musician, best known as the longtime drummer and backing vocalist for the rock band Uriah Heep and for his work with Ozzy Osbourne in the early 1980s. Biography Early life and career Kerslake was born in Bournemouth, Hampshire (now Dorset). At age 11, he began playing drums and got his first professional gig with The Gods in 1969, going on to record three albums with the band. He later played with Toe Fat and National Head Band before linking up with Uriah Heep in November 1971. Uriah Heep Kerslake first appeared with Uriah Heep on their 1972 album '' Demons and Wizards'' and went on to record nine studio records, as well as a live album, with the band before departing in 1978 after the Fallen Angels tour. Trevor Bolder
Trevor Bolder (9 June 1950 – 21 May 2013) was an English rock musician, songwriter and record producer. He is best known for his long association with Uriah Heep and his tenure with the Spiders from Mars, the backing band for David Bowie, although he also played alongside a variety of musicians from the early 1970s. Biography Bolder was born in Kingston upon Hull, East Riding of Yorkshire, England. His father was a trumpet player, and other members of his family too were musicians. He played cornet in the school band and was active in his local R&B scene in the mid-1960s. Inspired by the Beatles, in 1964 he formed his first band with his brother and took up the bass guitar. He first came to prominence in the Rats, which also featured fellow Hull musician Mick Ronson on lead guitar.
