Scott Morrison (designer)
Scott Morrison is an American designer and entrepreneur. He is best known for pioneering premium denim in America and as the founder of Paper Denim & Cloth, Earnest Sewn and 3x1. He also served as the CEO/Creative Director for Japanese designer clothing company Evisu. Morrison is currently the co-founder of golf lifestyle brand Radmor. Early life and education Morrison was born in Palm Springs, California. His parents were both educators. At age 11, Morrison started playing golf, and after graduating from Palm Springs High School he received a scholarship to play Division 1 golf at the University of Washington. He attended the University of Washington (Seattle) from 1990-1995, receiving (4) Varsity letters for men's golf. Palm Springs High School is a public high school for grades 9 through 12 located in Palm Springs, California as part of the Palm Springs Unified School District. It was built in 1938 in an effort led by city pioneer Nellie Coffman. Athletics Palm Springs High School was in the Desert Valley League until 2018, when a restructuring saw the creation of the Desert Empire League. The second league was introduced to improve competitive balance, and Palm Springs competes in the Desert Empire League alongside five other teams. Mudd Jeans (or simply Mudd) is a women's clothing brand marketed to adult and young women, founded by Dick Gilbert, George Fontini, Marty Weisfeld and Joanne Jacobsen in 1995. The brand became popular when they introduced their affordable flare-leg jeans, which was a popular style at the time. The brand then expanded to a wider line of products, which currently includes jeans, dresses, jackets, shirts, t-shirts, blouses, tops, shorts, sweaters, and lingerie. Evisu
Evisu or Evisu Genes is a Japanese designer clothing company that specializes in producing denim wear through traditional, labor-intensive methods. The brand was founded in 1991 in Osaka, Japan, by Hidehiko Yamane. Production The initial production line allowed about 14 pairs of jeans a day to be produced, with each of them having a seagull (''kamome'') hand painted on them by Yamane himself. Ebisu is the name of the Japanese folk god of money who is usually portrayed with a fishing rod. In the early 1990s Yamane introduced a tailoring line, followed by fishing and golf lines.
