The Scheller College of Business is the business school at the Georgia Institute of Technology, a Public university, public research university in Atlanta, Georgia. It was established in 1912 and is consistently ranked in the top 30 business programs in the nation. History Georgia Tech's business school began in 1912 with the creation of the School of Commerce. In 1933, it was moved to the University of Georgia during the newly created Georgia Board of Regents' decision to consolidate Georgia's system of higher education. It would later become Georgia State University. To meet the need for management training in technology, an Industrial Management degree was established in 1934, with a master's degree in the subject becoming the first professional management degree offered in the state 11 years later. Turner Broadcasting System, Inc. was an American television and media conglomerate founded by Ted Turner in 1965.
