Hamby Shore
Samuel Hamilton Shore (February 12, 1886 – October 13, 1918) was a Canadian professional ice hockey player who played several seasons for the Ottawa Senators between 1909 and 1918, notably during the "Silver Seven" era when the club was champion from 1903 until 1906. Shore died as a result of the influenza epidemic of 1918. Playing career Hamby Shore joined the Ottawa Hockey Club in the Federal Amateur Hockey League as a teenager in 1904, when the club was already Stanley Cup champion. After one season, he played out west with Winnipeg Seniors, before returning to Ottawa in 1906–07, playing in the Eastern Canada Amateur Hockey Association. He returned to Winnipeg to play professionally, with the Winnipeg Maple Leafs and Winnipeg Strathconas. He played in the Maple Leafs' unsuccessful 1908 Stanley Cup challenge against the Montreal Wanderers.

Samuel Shore (banker)
Samuel Shore (1738–1828) was an English ironmaster, banker and activist of the Yorkshire Association. Life The son of Samuel Shore the elder (1707–1785) "of Meersbrook", and his wife Margaret Diggles, a Liverpool heiress, he was educated by Daniel Lowe of Norton, a nonconformist minister who ran a dissenting academy, and became a member of Sheffield's Upper Chapel. After travel and study abroad that was cut short in 1757 by the Seven Years' War, Shore married in 1759, and later came into possession of Norton Hall through his wife, Urith Offley. He served as High Sheriff of Derbyshire in 1761. Shore was active as an ironmaster. He was also involved in the River Don navigation scheme; and the Sheffield Town Trust. The elder Samuel Shore bought Meersbrook House in the 1770s from Benjamin Roebuck, after a bank failure. He died there on 23 September 1785. Sammy Shore
Sammy Shore (February 7, 1927 – May 18, 2019) was an American actor, stand-up comedian and co-founder of the Comedy Store. Career Shore began his career doing stand-up comedy with Shecky Greene in the Catskill Mountains. He was chosen, in 1969, to open for Elvis Presley’s comeback performance at the International Hotel, Las Vegas. He then opened for Elvis’ road shows until 1972. Shore continued to perform comedy, opening for Tony Orlando, Tony Bennett, Barbra Streisand, Sammy Davis Jr. and others. On April 7, 1972, he founded the Comedy Store with his writing partner Rudy De Luca. In 1974, his ex-wife, Mitzi, became the owner of the club. The club launched the careers of many comedians including Rodney Dangerfield, David Letterman, Eddie Murphy, Robin Williams, Jim Carrey and others including his own son, Pauly. ''Stingray'' is a British children's science fiction television series created by Gerry and Sylvia Anderson and produced by AP Films (APF) for ITC Entertainment.
