Sagra (russian: Сагра) is a rural locality (a settlement) under the administrative jurisdiction of the town of Verkhnyaya Pyshma in Sverdlovsk Oblast, Russia, located northwest of Yekaterinburg. Overview The settlement stands on the Black River, which flows into the nearby Isetskoe Lake. Sagra's population is between 113 and 188 people. The settlement has a railway platform on the Nizhny Tagil line to Yekaterinburg. Sagra's name comes from northern Russian dialect word Sogra, meaning "swamp overgrown with low forests". Verkhnyaya Pyshma
Verkhnyaya Pyshma (russian: Ве́рхняя Пышма́) is a town in Sverdlovsk Oblast, Russia, located north of Yekaterinburg. Population: History It was founded in 1660 as the village ('' selo'') of Pyshminskoye, which was named after the Pyshma River. A copper mine opened here in 1856. Town status was granted to it in 1946. Town development in 20th century is closely related to copper production. The factory called Uralelectromed developed here and in 1990s it became the main company of UMMC holding. Yevgeny Vadimovich Roizman ( Russian: Евге́ний Вади́мович Ро́йзман; born 14 September 1962) is a Russian opposition politician who served as the mayor of Yekaterinburg from 2013 to 2018. He campaigned against corrupt police, illegal drug sellers and for drug rehabilitation centers. Early life He was born in Sverdlovsk to a Jewish father and a Russian mother (his surname is of German origin and is a cyrillized version of ''Reusemann''). His father was a power engineer at Uralmash, while his mother was a nursery teacher. Roizman claims to have left home at age 14, to have traveled across the country and later to have started work at Uralmash as a welder. He graduated from Ural State University as a historian/archivist. He was sentenced to a two-year prison term in 1981 on charges of theft and fraud.
