The term SGL usually has broad, important and positive personal, social, and political purposes and consequences. Pennsylvania State Game Lands
The Pennsylvania State Game Lands (SGL) are lands managed by the Pennsylvania Game Commission (PGC) for hunting, trapping, and fishing. These lands, often not usable for farming or development, are donated to the PGC or purchased by the PGC with hunting license monies. The Pennsylvania Game Commission runs a monthly publication called the ''Pennsylvania Game News''. This publication features financial and legislative updates from the PGC, stories, and monthly Field Notes submitted by the Wildlife Conservation Officers of the Pennsylvania Game Commission. History Wild game animals have been hunted for thousands of years in what is now Pennsylvania, first by the Indigenous peoples of the Americas, later by Europeans. By 1890 game had practically disappeared from Pennsylvania. That year, John M. Phillips and other sportsmen, recognizing the scarcity of game, formed the Pennsylvania Sportsmen's Association so that they could press the state government for protection of wildlife. This ...

Supergalactic Coordinate System
In the 1950s the astronomer Gérard de Vaucouleurs recognized the existence of a flattened “local supercluster” from the Shapley-Ames Catalog in the environment of the Milky Way. He noticed that when one plots nearby galaxies in 3D, they lie more or less on a plane. A flattened distribution of nebulae had earlier been noted by William Herschel. Vera Rubin had also identified the supergalactic plane in the 1950s, but her data remained unpublished. The plane delineated by various galaxies defined in 1976 the equator of the supergalactic coordinate system he developed. In years thereafter with more observation data available de Vaucouleurs findings about the existence of the plane proved right. The observed supergalactic plane is more or less perpendicular to the plane of the Milky Way, the angle is 84.5 degrees. The plane runs through the constellations Cassiopeia (in the galactic plane), Camelopardalis, Ursa Major, Coma Berenices (near the galactic north pole), Virgo, Centauru ...

Sanglechi-Ishkashimi Language
The Pamir languages are an areal group of the Eastern Iranian languages, spoken by numerous people in the Pamir Mountains, primarily along the Panj River and its tributaries. The term Ghalchah is no longer used to refer to the Pamir languages or the native speakers of these languages. One of the most prolific researchers of the Pamir languages was Soviet linguist Ivan Ivanovich Zarubin. Geographic distribution The Pamirian languages are spoken primarily in the Badakhshan Province of northeastern Afghanistan and the Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Region of eastern Tajikistan. Solar Gravitational Lens
A solar gravitational lens (or solar gravity lens) (SGL) is a theoretical method of using the Sun as a large lens with a physical effect called gravitational lensing. It is considered the best method to directly image habitable exoplanets. The solar gravitational lens is characterized by remarkable properties: it offers brightness amplification of up to a factor of ~ (at ) and extreme angular resolution (~ arcsec). Albert Einstein predicted in 1936 that rays of light from the same direction that skirt the edges of the Sun would converge to a focal point approximately 542 AUs from the Sun. A probe positioned at this distance from the Sun could use it as a gravitational lens for magnifying distant objects on the opposite side of the Sun. The probe's location could shift around as needed to select different targets relative to the Sun. In 1979, Von Eshleman was the first author proposing to use the Sun as a large lens. A probe called SETIsail and later FOCAL was proposed to th ...
