Enhanced Small Form-factor Pluggable Transceiver
Small Form-factor Pluggable connected to a pair of fiber-optic cables Small Form-factor Pluggable (SFP) is a compact, hot-pluggable network interface module format used for both telecommunication and data communications applications. An SFP interface on networking hardware is a modular slot for a media-specific transceiver, such as for a fiber-optic cable or a copper cable. The advantage of using SFPs compared to fixed interfaces (e.g. modular connectors in Ethernet switches) is that individual ports can be equipped with different types of transceivers as required, with the majority including optical line terminals, network cards, switches and routers. The form factor and electrical interface are specified by a multi-source agreement (MSA) under the auspices of the Small Form Factor Committee. The SFP replaced the larger gigabit interface converter (GBIC) in most applications, and has been referred to as a Mini-GBIC by some vendors. SFP transceivers exist suppor ... Scottish Family Party
The Scottish Family Party (SFP) is a socially conservative political party in Scotland. It was formed in 2017 and is led by former UKIP member and registered teacher Richard Lucas. When launched in 2017, the SFP said its "central goal" was to gain election to the Scottish Parliament and "to fill the void" left behind by the current parties and their abandoning of "Judeo-Christian-inspired values of traditional Western civilisation". According to party leader Richard Lucas, they intend to be the party "to confront the cosy Holyrood consensus, interrupting the monochrome virtue-signalling that currently passes for debate in many areas". It also aims to be "pro-family, pro-marriage, pro-life, pro-freedom of speech, anti-identity politics, that values the complementary contributions of men and women and recommends schools refocus on education instead of social engineering, radical gender ideology and political moulding". The SFP contested their first seats in the 2019 UK general el ... [...More Info...] [...Related Items...] OR: [Wikipedia] [Google] [Baidu] |

Seminal Fluid Protein
Seminal fluid proteins (SFPs) or accessory gland proteins (Acps) are one of the non-sperm components of semen. In many animals with internal fertilization, males transfer a complex cocktail of proteins in their semen to females during copulation. These seminal fluid proteins often have diverse, potent effects on female post-mating phenotypes. SFPs are produced by the male accessory glands. Seminal fluid proteins frequently show evidence of elevated evolutionary rates and are often cited as an example of sexual conflict. Proteomics SFPs are best studied in mammals and insects, especially in the common fruit fly, ''Drosophila melanogaster''. Most species produce a wide variety of proteins that are transferred to females. For example, approximately 290 SFPs have been identified in ''D. melanogaster'', 46 in the mosquito '' Anopheles gambae'', and around 160 in humans. Elevated evolution Even between closely related species, the seminal fluid proteome can vary greatly. SFPs show ... [...More Info...] [...Related Items...] OR: [Wikipedia] [Google] [Baidu] |

Société Française De Psychanalyse
The Société Française de Psychanalyse (SFP; English: "French Society of Psychoanalysis") was a French psychoanalytic professional body formed in 1953, in a split from the main body of French psychoanalysts, the Société Parisienne de Psychanalyse (SPP). The SFP effectively wound up in November 1963, its resources and membership being split between the two new bodies, the Association Psychanalytique de France (APF, founded May 1964), and the École Freudienne de Paris (EFP, founded June 1964), founded by Jacques Lacan. The formal dissolution of SFP was in January 1965. Foundation The early 1950s were a time of growing disagreements within the SPP, mainly centred on the question of the training of analysts. Despite wishing himself to avoid a split, Lacan was drawn into the dissident movement led by Daniel Lagache, as a result of his own separate dispute with the president Sacha Nacht over his practice of "short sessions". After a year of disagreements and a vote of no confid ... [...More Info...] [...Related Items...] OR: [Wikipedia] [Google] [Baidu] |

The Swedish People's Party of Finland (SPP; , SFP; , RKP) is a Finnish political party founded in 1906. Its primary aim is to represent the interests of the minority Swedish-speaking population of Finland. The party is currently a participant in the Government of Petteri Orpo, holding the posts of Minister of Education and Minister for European Affairs and Ownership Steering. Along with the post Minister of Youth, Sport and Physical Activity until 13 June, 2025. An ethnic catch-all party, its main election issue since its inception has been the Swedish-speaking Finns' right to their own language while maintaining the position of Swedish as an official language in Finland. Ideologically, it is liberal, social-liberal, centrist, and pro-European. The party has been in government from 1979 to 2015 and again from 2019, with one or two ministerial portfolios in government, and has collaborated with parties across the left–right political spectrum in parliament. Science Fiction Prototyping
Science fiction prototyping (SFP) refers to the idea of using science fiction to describe and explore the implications of futuristic technologies and the social structures enabled by them. Similar terms are design fiction, speculative design, and critical design. History and progress The idea was introduced by Brian David Johnson in 2010 who, at the time, was a futurist at Intel working on the challenge his company faced anticipating the market needs for integrated circuits at the end of their 7–10 years design and production cycle. The roots for Science Fiction Prototyping can be traced back to two papers, the first by Callaghan et-al “''Pervasive Computing and Urban Development: Issues for the individual and Society''”, presented at the 2004 United Nations World Urban Forum which used short stories as a means to convey potential future threats of technology to society and the second, by Egerton et-al "''Using Multiple Personas In Service Robots To Improve Exploration St ... Secretariat Of The Civil Service
The Mexican Secretariat of the Civil Service (Spanish: ''Secretaría de la Función Pública'', ''SFP'') is the entity of the cabinet of Mexico in charge of coordinating, assessing and monitoring the public exercise of the federal government. It was created in 1982 as the Secretariat of the Comptroller General of the Federation and was known as the Secretary of Accounting and Administrative Development from 1994 to 2003. After years of inactivity because of the failure to allocate a secretary by the incoming government of Enrique Peña Nieto Enrique Peña Nieto (; born 20 July 1966), commonly referred to by his initials EPN, is a Mexican former politician and lawyer who was the 64th president of Mexico from 2012 to 2018. Genetic Marker
A genetic marker is a gene or DNA sequence with a known location on a chromosome that can be used to identify individuals or species. It can be described as a variation (which may arise due to mutation or alteration in the genomic loci) that can be observed. A genetic marker may be a short DNA sequence, such as a sequence surrounding a single base-pair change ( single nucleotide polymorphism, SNP), or a long one, like minisatellites. Background For many years, gene mapping was limited to identifying organisms by traditional phenotypes markers. This included genes that encoded easily observable characteristics, such as blood types or seed shapes. The insufficient number of these types of characteristics in several organisms limited the possible mapping efforts. This prompted the development of gene markers, which could identify genetic characteristics that are not readily observable in organisms (such as protein variation). Types Some commonly used types of genetic markers ar ... [...More Info...] [...Related Items...] OR: [Wikipedia] [Google] [Baidu] |

Spent Fuel Pool
Spent fuel pools (SFP) are storage pools (or "ponds" in the United Kingdom) for spent fuel from nuclear reactors. They are typically 40 or more feet (12 m) deep, with the bottom 14 feet (4.3 m) equipped with storage racks designed to hold fuel assemblies removed from reactors. A reactor's local pool is specially designed for the reactor in which the fuel was used and is situated at the reactor site. Such pools are used for short-term cooling of the fuel rods. This allows short-lived isotopes to decay and thus reduces the ionizing radiation and decay heat emanating from the rods. The water cools the fuel and provides radiological protection from its radiation. Pools also exist on sites remote from reactors, for longer-term storage such as the Independent Spent Fuel Storage Installation (ISFSI), located at the Morris Operation, or as a production buffer for 10 to 20 years before being sent for reprocessing or dry cask storage. While only about 20 feet (about 6 m) of w ... [...More Info...] [...Related Items...] OR: [Wikipedia] [Google] [Baidu] |
Salton Inc
Russell Hobbs, Inc. (formerly Salton, Inc.), was an American company based in Florida which manufactured home appliances, most notably the George Foreman grill and Russell Hobbs appliances. Simulated Fluorescence Process Algorithm
The Simulated Fluorescence Process (SFP) is a computing algorithm used for scientific visualization of 3D data from, for example, fluorescence microscopes. By modeling a physical light/matter interaction process, an image can be computed which shows the data as it would have appeared in reality when viewed under these conditions. Principle The algorithm considers a virtual light source producing excitation light that illuminates the object. This casts shadows either on parts of the object itself or on other objects below it. The interaction between the excitation light and the object provokes the emission light, which also interacts with the object before it finally reaches the eye of the viewer. See also * Computer graphics lighting * Rendering (computer graphics) Rendering is the process of generating a physically-based rendering, photorealistic or Non-photorealistic rendering, non-photorealistic image from input data such as 3D models.
