Ryan Ellis
Ryan James Ellis (born January 3, 1991) is a Canadian professional ice hockey defenceman for the Philadelphia Flyers of the National Hockey League (NHL). Ellis was drafted eleventh overall by the Nashville Predators in the 2009 NHL Entry Draft. After his second season in the Ontario Hockey League (OHL), Ellis was selected 11th overall by the Predators in the 2009 NHL Entry Draft. During his junior career, he was key in guiding the Windsor Spitfires to back-to-back Memorial Cups as Canadian Hockey League (CHL) champions in 2009 and 2010. Individually, he was named to the CHL and OHL All-Rookie Teams in 2008, the First OHL All-Star Team in 2009 and 2011 and the Second OHL All-Star Team in 2010. Ryan James Ellis (born November 29, 1989) is an American professional stock car racing driver. He competes part-time in the NASCAR Xfinity Series, driving the No. 43 Chevrolet Camaro for Alpha Prime Racing. He has previously raced in NASCAR Camping World Truck Series and the NASCAR Cup Series. Racing career Early career (1994–2005) A third-generation racecar driver, Ellis began driving Quarter Midgets at age 4 and nearly won the first QMA Dirt National Championship race he ever entered. Ryan D. Ellis (born July 19, 1978) is an American professional baseball coach. He was the hitting performance coordinator for the New York Mets of Major League Baseball (MLB). Career Ellis, an infielder, was selected by the Montreal Expos in the 28th round of the 2000 Major League Baseball draft from Point Park College. He played two seasons with the Vermont Expos before leaving affiliated ball to play three seasons with the Washington Wild Things of the Frontier League. During the 2003 and 2004 seasons, he served as a player-coach and stayed on as a full-time coach in the 2005 season after retiring as a player.
