Ryan Cook (Australian Rules Footballer)
Ryan Cook (born 16 February 1988) is an Australian rules footballer who played for the Collingwood Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL) between 2006 and 2010. He is a lively midfielder/half-forward who kicked three goals and had 19 disposals to be one of the Dandenong Stingrays' best in their losing TAC Cup Grand Final against Gippsland Power. The Magpies' fourth pick at 23 in the 2005 AFL Draft, Cook was touted as a fast player with great endurance, as evidenced by a 13.7 beep test result. His step brother is Nick Malceski who plays for Sydney Swans. He was delisted by Collingwood at the end of the 2010 season. Dandenong Stingrays
The Dandenong Southern Stingrays are an Australian rules football team in the NAB League, the Victorian statewide under-18s competition. 1992 saw the birth of the Southern Stingrays, developed under the leadership of Steve Kennedy (Regional Manager) and Ron Roach (Promotions Manager) with its home base located at Ben Kavanagh Reserve, Mordialloc. The side is coached in the inaugural year by Peter Russo. In 1995 the club moved from Mordialloc to Dandenong and it also changed its name to the Dandenong Southern Stingrays. The club is currently under the leadership of Darren Flanigan (Region Talent Manager) and Matthew Crozier (Female Talent Coordinator) with the home base located at Shepley Oval, Dandenong. Nick Malceski
Nick Malceski (born 15 August 1984) is a former professional Australian rules footballer who played for the Sydney Swans and Gold Coast Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL). A running defender, he was part of the Sydney line-up that won the 2012 AFL Grand Final, and in total played 176 games for the club between 2005 and 2014. He was named in the 2014 All-Australian team, but at the end of that season joined the Gold Coast, where he played two seasons (consisting of 34 games) before retiring at the end of the 2016 season. AFL career Recruitment Malceski is a Macedonian Australian. He was recruited from the Eastern Ranges by the Sydney Swans in the 2002 AFL draft with the 64th overall pick. Best And Fairest
In Australian sport, the best and fairest award recognises the player(s) adjudged to have had the best performance in a game or over a season for a given sporting club or competition. The awards are sometimes dependent on not receiving a suspension for misconduct or breaching the rules during that season. In the Australian Football League (AFL), the Brownlow Medal is awarded to the player who, provided he has not been suspended during the season, receives the most votes from the umpires for being the Fairest and Best player in games during the home and away season. In each game, the umpires award three votes to the player they judge to be the best afield in that game, two votes to the second-best player and one vote to the third-best player. The votes are counted at a gala function on the Monday preceding the Grand Final. Beep Test
The multi-stage fitness test (MSFT), also known as the beep test, bleep test, PACER (Progressive Aerobic Cardiovascular Endurance Run), PACER test, FitnessGram PACER test, or the 20 m Shuttle Run Test (20 m SRT), is a running test used to estimate an athlete's aerobic capacity ( VO2 max). The test requires participants to run 20 meters back and forth across a marked track keeping time with beeps. Every minute or so, the next level commences: the time between beeps gets shorter; participants must run faster. If a participant fails to reach the relevant marker in time, they are cautioned. A second caution ends the test for that runner. The number of shuttles completed successfully is recorded as the score of that runner. The score is recorded in Level.Shuttles format (e.g. 9.5).
