Rusty Jones is an American football coach and former strength and conditioning coach in the National Football League (NFL). Coaching career Jones' National Football League career began in 1985 with the Buffalo Bills, where he coached for 20 years; head coach Marv Levy called him the team's "secret weapon". He moved to Chicago as their strength and conditioning coordinator on February 3, 2005. Jones was viewed as an important figure in the development of strength and conditioning training in football, making innovations including individualized workout and diet regimens, and an emphasis on the body mass index and hydration monitoring. In 2007, he was named coach of the year by the Professional Football Strength and Conditioning Coaches Society. On January 19, 2013, the Bears reported that Jones would retire after 28 years of coaching. The Monroes were a new wave band from San Diego active throughout most of the 1980s. They are best known for their single "What Do All the People Know". Background For keyboardist Eric Denton, forming the Monroes fulfilled his early fantasies of becoming a rock star. Born in Lansing, Michigan, Denton moved to Ventura, California with his family at a young age, at which point he began immersing himself in piano studies. By the late 1970s, Denton had already performed at several high school dances, when his family moved to San Diego. In addition to his musical talents, by this point, he had also become very savvy on the business and organizational aspects of the music world, an attribute that would serve him well during the Monroes years. Isham Russell "Rusty" Jones II (April 13, 1942 – December 9, 2015) was an American jazz drummer. Early life Jones began playing drums at the age of thirteen and continued on throughout his college years, choosing traditional and modern jazz as his preferred mode of music. He went "on the road" after graduating college in 1965 from the University of Iowa with a degree in history and political science, to "get it out of his system", but he never stopped his pursuit of a musical vocation. He moved to the Chicago area in 1967. Playing career Jones appeared with Chicago singer Judy Roberts from 1968–72, soon after becoming a member of George Shearing's trio from 1972-78.
