Rossello di Jacopo Franchi (c. 1376/77 – c. 1456) was a Florentine Renaissance painter, active from about 1408 until 1451. Retrieved from ProQuest. He was most likely the son of Jacopo del Rosso and Catherine. His father and older brother, Nanni, both worked in the textile industry, as a wool-carder and a cloth cutter, respectively. Therefore, his entry into the arts was unexpected. The same can be said for Rossello's younger brother, Giunta, who was a painter as well. There is some speculation that there may have been ties to the Arte de Medici e Speziali through a relative. From what scholars have discerned, Rossello's life was that of a hardworking craftsman, with some assets and land, who was dealt his fair share of family troubles and frustrations with his children. Lorenzo Ghiberti (, , ; 1378 – 1 December 1455), born Lorenzo di Bartolo, was an Italian Renaissance sculptor from Florence, a key figure in the Early Renaissance, best known as the creator of two sets of bronze doors of the Florence Baptistery, the later one called by Michelangelo the ''Gates of Paradise''. Trained as a goldsmith and sculptor, he established an important workshop for sculpture in metal. Blaise of Sebaste ( hy, Սուրբ Վլասի, ''Surb Vlasi''; el, Ἅγιος Βλάσιος, ''Agios Vlasios''; ) was a physician and bishop of Sebastea in historical Armenia (modern Sivas, Turkey) who is venerated as a Christian saint and martyr. Blaise is venerated as a saint in the Catholic, Eastern Orthodox, and Oriental Orthodox churches and is the patron saint of wool combers and ENT illnesses. Lorenzo Monaco
Lorenzo Monaco (1370 – 1425) was an Italian painter of the late Gothic to early Renaissance age. He was born Piero di Giovanni in Siena, Italy. Little is known about his youth, apart from the fact that he was apprenticed in Florence. He was influenced by Giotto and that artist's followers Spinello Aretino and Agnolo Gaddi. Life In 1390, Piero di Giovanni joined the Camaldolese monastery of Santa Maria degli Angeli. He was thenceforth generally known as ''Lorenzo Monaco'' ('Lawrence the Monk'). Starting from around 1404, his works show the influence of the International Gothic, of Lorenzo Ghiberti's earliest works and of Gherardo Starnina.
