The Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Grouard–McLennan ( la, Archidioecesis Gruardensis–McLennanpolitana) is a Latin archdiocese of the Roman Catholic Church in Canada and the metropolitan see of an ecclesiastical province for the Roman Catholic Church in northwestern Canada. Gary M. Gordon (born June 10, 1957) is a Canadian Roman Catholic bishop. Ordained to the priesthood on May 22, 1982, Gordon was named bishop of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Whitehorse, Canada in early 2006. Early life Born on June 10, 1957, at St. Paul's Hospital, Vancouver, British Columbia, and raised in Burnaby, Gordon studied at the Seminary of Christ the King, Mission, B.C.; at St. Jerome College, University of Waterloo, Ontario; and at St. Peter's Seminary, London, Ontario. He was ordained to the priesthood on May 22, 1982, for the Archdiocese of Vancouver, and served several parishes throughout British Columbia, including Vancouver, Chilliwack and Mission. Hubert Patrick O'Connor (17 February 1928 — 24 July 2007) was a Canadian Catholic bishop from Huntingdon, Quebec who was famously forced to resign from the church following charges of multiple sex crimes stemming from his time as principal at the Saint Joseph's Mission Residential School in Williams Lake. At the time, he was the highest ranking Catholic official in the world to ever be charged with a sex crime.
