Red Rain In Kerala
The Kerala red rain phenomenon was a blood rain event that occurred in Wayanad district region of Malabar on Monday, 15 July 1957 and the colour subsequently turned yellow and also 25 July to 23 September 2001, when heavy downpours of red-coloured rain fell sporadically on the southern Indian state of Kerala, staining clothes pink. Yellow, green and black rain was also reported. Coloured rain was also reported in Kerala in 1896 and several times since, most recently in June 2012, and from 15 November 2012 to 27 December 2012 in eastern and north-central provinces of Sri Lanka. Following a light-microscopy examination in 2001, it was initially thought that the rains were coloured by fallout from a hypothetical meteor burst, but a study commissioned by the Government of India concluded that the rains had been coloured by airborne spores from a locally prolific terrestrial green algae from the genus '' Trentepohlia''. Occurrence The coloured rain of Kerala began falling on 25 ...

Red Rain (novel)
''Red Rain'' is a 2012 horror novel by R. L. Stine. Published on October 9, 2012, the book is Stine's second adult hardcover horror novel. Stine, who was inspired by the films ''Village of the Damned'', '' Island of the Damned'' and ''Children of the Damned'', decided to write the novel for his old audience from the 1990s. Although one reviewer felt that the book was a treat for those who grew up reading books by Stine, others stated it had a predictable conclusion, offered no attempt at characterization, and was too bogged down in detail. Plot Intending to write about the small beach town's local flavor and unusual death rituals, Lea Sutter travels to Cape Le Chat Noir for her travel blog. Her plans are shattered when a terrible hurricane decimates the town, killing off most of its inhabitants. The experience shakes Lea, spurring her to take Daniel and Samuel, two twelve-year-old twin orphans, home with her. Lea's decision doesn't sit well with her husband Mark, who has been ex ...

Red Rain (song)
"Red Rain" is the first track on English rock musician Peter Gabriel's 1986 solo studio album '' So''. In the United States, it was the second single from the album and reached number three on '' Billboard'' magazine's Mainstream Rock chart in 1986, where it stayed for three weeks between July and August. In the rest of the world it was not released until 1987 and received less airplay and fewer sales, peaking at 46 in the UK singles chart after entering the chart in July of that year.David Roberts ''British Hit Singles & Albums'', Guinness World Records Limited A live version also charted in the US and the UK in 1994. Background and reception The song is a combination of several inspirations. The lyrics directly reference a recurring dream Gabriel was having where he swam in his backyard pool drinking cold red wine. Another version of the dream had bottles in the shape of people falling from a cliff. In it, a stream of red liquid would seep out of the people-shaped bottles as t ...

Get Behind Me Satan
''Get Behind Me Satan'' is the fifth studio album by the American rock duo the White Stripes, released on June 7, 2005, on V2 Records. Though still basic in production style, the album marked a distinct change from its guitar-heavy 2003 predecessor, ''Elephant''. With its reliance on piano-driven melodies and experimentation with marimba on "The Nurse" and "Forever For Her (Is Over For Me)", ''Get Behind Me Satan'' plays down the punk, garage rock and blues influences that dominated earlier White Stripes albums. Frontman Jack White plays with different technique than in the past, replacing electric guitar with piano, mandolin, and acoustic guitar on all but a handful of tracks, as his usual riff-conscious lead guitar style is overtaken by a predominantly rhythmic approach. ''Rolling Stone'' ranked it the third best album of the year and it received the Grammy for Best Alternative Music Album in 2006. As of February 2007, ''Get Behind Me Satan'' had sold 850,000 units in the Un ...
