Recreating Eden
''Recreating Eden'' is a Canadian lifestyle and gardening television documentary program. Its aim is to examine the physical, mental, and spiritual healing effects that gardens have on their keepers History ''Recreating Eden'' was originally broadcast on HGTV Canada in 2002, but after two seasons was not renewed. It was then picked up by VisionTV for an additional three seasons. As of 2010, the series has not been renewed for a sixth season. Community Garden Initiative VisionTV and Recreating Eden teamed up in 2007 to create the Community Garden Initiative, a project to fund green communities in cities and towns across Canada. Lifestyle (sociology)
Lifestyle is the interests, opinions, behaviours, and behavioural orientations of an individual, group, or culture. The term was introduced by Austrian psychologist Alfred Adler in his 1929 book, ''The Case of Miss R.'', with the meaning of "a person's basic character as established early in childhood". The broader sense of lifestyle as a "way or style of living" has been documented since 1961. Lifestyle is a combination of determining intangible or tangible factors. Tangible factors relate specifically to demographic variables, i.e. an individual's demographic profile, whereas intangible factors concern the psychological aspects of an individual such as personal values, preferences, and outlooks. A rural environment has different lifestyles compared to an urban metropolis. Location is important even within an urban scope. UKTV Gardens
UKTV Gardens was a digital television channel broadcasting in the United Kingdom, part of the UKTV family of channels. As its name suggests, the channel focused entirely on gardening shows. When it originally launched, the channel was known as UKTV Style Gardens on 23 February 2005 and all the gardening content from UKTV Style was moved to the new channel. In early 2007 it adopted the more independent name ''UKTV Gardens''. Guelph
Guelph ( ; 2021 Canadian Census population 143,740) is a city in Southwestern Ontario, Canada. Known as "The Royal City", Guelph is roughly east of Kitchener and west of Downtown Toronto, at the intersection of Highway 6, Highway 7 and Wellington County Road 124. Dufferin Grove Park is a park in the Dufferin Grove neighbourhood of Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The park is located on the east side of Dufferin Street, south of Bloor Street West. It is located a block south of the Dufferin subway station and across the street from Dufferin Mall. The park extends two city blocks east and is primarily green-space with mixed open space and treed areas. Facilities and activities The park features a large playground, a wading pool, a pizza oven, a basketball court, and an outdoor ice skating rink in the winter.
