Rush Rush (Debbie Harry Song)
"Rush Rush" is a song written by Giorgio Moroder and performed by American singer Debbie Harry. It was released as the fourth and final single from the Scarface (soundtrack), soundtrack to the 1983 film ''Scarface (1983 film), Scarface''. Background "Rush Rush" was the first single Harry released after Blondie (band), Blondie broke up in 1982, and was one of the several projects she worked on in between her first and second solo albums. It was Harry's second collaboration with Italian producer Giorgio Moroder, the first being Blondie's 1980 number-one single "Call Me (Blondie song), Call Me" (from the 1980 film ''American Gigolo''). The song was a reference to drug use, "''llello''" being a Spanish colloquialism for cocaine. Deborah Ann Harry (born Angela Trimble, July 1, 1945) is an American singer, songwriter and actress, best known as the lead vocalist of the band Blondie (band), Blondie. Four of her songs with the band reached on the US charts between 1979 and 1981. Born in Miami, Florida, Harry was adopted as an infant and raised in Hawthorne, New Jersey. The Kent Music Report was a weekly record chart of Australian music singles and albums which was compiled by music historian David Kent from May 1974 through to January 1999. The chart was re-branded the Australian Music Report (AMR) in July 1987. From June 1988, the Australian Recording Industry Association, which had been using the top 50 portion of the report under licence since mid-1983, chose to produce their own listing as the ARIA Charts. Before the Kent Report, ''Go-Set'' magazine published weekly Top 40 Singles from 1966, and albums chart from 1970 until the magazine's demise in August 1974. Beth Andersen (born 1954) is an American singer and voice actress from Lexington, Kentucky. Andersen's first notable release was the song "Dance Dance Dance" which appeared in the 1983 film '' Scarface'' as well as on its soundtrack. "Dance Dance Dance" became iconic in the following years due to its use in the scene where Octavio the Clown is gunned down. The song also appeared on the US 7" version of Debbie Harry's single " Rush Rush", another song from the ''Scarface'' soundtrack. Septimus Orion is a recording project initiated with the release of its first studio album '' CAGED'' in August 2008. The album includes an audio version of Clifford Meth's short story ''Queers''. This short story was originally published in ''god's 15 minutes'' by Aardwolf Publishing. Personnel The album was recorded by musicians who were otherwise engaged in other recording endeavors, and thus Septimus Orion was not formed as a band, but as a collaborative creation. Happy Mondays
Happy Mondays are an English rock band formed in Salford in 1980. The original line-up consisted of brothers Shaun Ryder (vocals) and Paul Ryder (bass), Gaz Whelan (drums), Paul Davis (keyboard), and Mark Day (guitar). Mark "Bez" Berry later joined the band onstage as a dancer and maracas player. Rowetta began working with the band as guest second vocalist in 1990. They were originally signed to Tony Wilson's Factory Records label. The group's work bridged the Manchester alternative rock music of the 1980s and the emerging UK rave scene, drawing influence from funk, house, and psychedelia to pioneer the Madchester sound.
