Ronnie Jones (American Football)
Ronnie Joe Jones (born October 17, 1955) is an American football coach. He is the head football coach for Northwestern Oklahoma State University, a position he has held since 2023. Jones has served on coaching staffs at numerous colleges and National Football League (NFL) teams. Early life and coaching career A native of Sunray, Texas, Jones graduated from Sunray High School in 1974. He went on to receive a bachelor's degree from Northwestern Oklahoma State University and a master's degree from Northeastern State University. While at Northeastern, he began his coaching career. In 1984, he joined John Cooper's staff at the University of Tulsa as strength and conditioning coach and moved with him to Arizona State University a year later. In 1987, he joined Buddy Ryan's coaching staff with the Philadelphia Eagles. John Cooper (coach)
John Harold Cooper (born July 2, 1937) is an American former college football coach and player. Cooper was an assistant coach at Iowa State, Oregon State, UCLA, Kansas, and Kentucky. Then, he embarked on a head coaching career, as he served as the head coach at the University of Tulsa (1977–1984), Arizona State University (1985–1987), and Ohio State University (1988–2000), compiling a career record of 192–84–6. Early life and playing career Cooper was born and raised in the Knoxville suburb of Powell, Tennessee. He graduated from Powell High School in 1955, then served in the United States Army for two years. Sunray, Texas
Sunray is a city in northeastern Moore County, Texas, United States. The population was 1,707 at the 2020 census. History Sunray, Texas, was founded by Jack Clarence Collins. He was born in Hartley, Texas, in 1893, and in 1902 moved to Channing with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. E.S. Collins. Jack graduated from Channing High School and later, in 1916, from Texas A&M, where he was class valedictorian and class president in his senior year. Later, he served for several years as cashier of the First National Bank of Channing while extending his family's ranch holdings. Mr. Collins was well-known and respected in ranching and financial circles, and was a ranking member of the Republican Party for several years. Frisco Independent School District is a public school district based in Frisco, Texas, United States.
